When a person says they are hopeful of something they generally mean they hope it happens, that to me is wishing injuries on other teams.

Go through what? we dont know what he wants other teams to go through, the only thing we do know is that it is specifically NOT injuries. It could be anything else from an infestation of frogs to a gay love triangle. We just know it isnt injuries.

If a coach had geniunely wished injuries on players there would surely have been more of a fuss made about it and he would need to apologise/clarify his comments. That hasn't happened as most people have the intelligence to see it's bad luck/loss of form/confidence dip he is alluding to.
