Would the salary cap stretch to that?
I heard we had 270k left before Staveley went, add in Sao, Lane and Briscoe. That's probably over 500k. Could have one of those (UK players) on a marquee contract too.
Sounds like we're leaving the door open for Sao to still be here beyond this year. If he's off quota and get him on the right deal then I wouldn't have an issue with him staying, was looking forward watching him this year.

Hopefully JC is just being polite about Sao. We should not be keeping him, been poor/ill disciplined for 2 seasons and now injured for a 3rd season. Needed a good season to be considering a deal. Let him go, let someone else take the risk and get fresh faces in.
