Seriously, knocking down Acadmey players for fun!
He might do really well but how you can be so ridiculously sure is beyond me.
Remember Chris Feather. Unstoppable at 19 and after a decent start lost his way. Funny because on the same day Trinity signed a makewight called Gareth Ellis.

That`s why i said potential to be, as a lot of players have great potential.. Not too sure how i sounded sure about anything?
At 19 he not only looks comfortable but is making championship props look pathetic, never seen such a physically developed 19 year old and to say props usually mature towards there late 20s the early signs are looking very good.

| St Helens had a prop. Cant remember his name. Was unplayable at academy age. These very forums were awash with Saints fans claiming he was going to be the best prop ever. Made his debut against Bradford, got smashed by Sam Burgess and was never seen again

Again... We are not talking just about academy level here but at championship level as well, which is the difference.
Turned Saints down to sign with Hull FC.

No he isn't, much of that footage is Academy games, games in which you see this rather a lot. Yes some are from the championship but if you were to edit down to a couple of minutes of any player you'd end up making them look great I'm surprised folk still fall for that.
That's not to say he isn't any good but potentially one of the best in SL, way to early especially when you consider the stick Wakefield fans get for pushing Johnstone and he's a positive veteran by comparrison.
There are two sets of fans who are far worse than any others when it comes to hyping up young players, they are Cas and London fans to whom every half decent player is a 'potential' superstar but very rarely deliver.

Vasty, I remember quite some years ago you were hailing Dale Ferguson as a shoe-in for GB honours and said super stardom.

Shot yourself in the foot their matey. Never said he was a shoe in for GB, never said any such thing - please supply the quote!
At the time people mainly Cas fans and Eddie Hemmings were touting Westerman as the next England captain
I said Ferguson was as good a SL player as Westerman don't recall saying either were international standard - Ferguson is still a SL player, please remind me where Westerman is. Don't exagerate to hide your own foolishness regarding Westerman, just admit I was right - a totally over rated player as is the Cas way.

Both cracking players. Cook really goes unnoticed by many but he’s a proper grafter, makes good metres and defends very well.
It’s funny how some players get huge plaudits when others producing the same level of play don’t.

The Bulls have a deal with Proper Sport to stream all their games live on Facebook for free. A good use of social media in order to get more eyes on the sport and try to encourage lapsed Bradford fans to watch the team again and possibly return to watching live.
Workington have pulled permission for this afternoon's game and are claiming that big, bad Bradford are trying to bully them because the livestream will damage their gate. But that they're not treating Bradford like a cash cow

Poor form by Workington, who should be grateful that they are at home playing a team with a huge fan base (by League 1 standards) and thus substantial traveling support.

Workington are spot on, why do they have to accommodate Bradford’s latest vanity project - since when ha it ever been acceptable to stream live games for free - how the hell does that benefit the game.
Bradford as arrogant as ever.

Yes, because more people watching the sport is CLEARLY a bad idea. And Workington won a famous victory this afternoon, if only there'd been a way for people all over the country to see it. They could have attracted more than the 600 or so people from Workington who showed up today to their next home game

How many Bradford fans attended, how many fans would not attend if the game was televised, particularly given the distance/weather, how many home fans may not have gone either if it were shown?
So fraud frenchie, what is the revenue difference and what are Workington actually grateful for, precisely?

Oh bore off with the arrogance line. End of day its Workingtons loss IMO workington had a great victory over us today (deservedly so) and yet barely 600 Cumbrians saw it and theres no way they or we as a sport can now show that off to try get people through Towns gates for future.
Since Bradford streaming their games our crowds have increased, the viewing figures have been impressive with proper sport. Is it proof it works. No. Isnit worth carrying it on and as a sport for once why don't we work together and try help the sport grow. I want Workington to increase their crowds.
Crowds are plummeting, sky viewing figures are plummeting, participation levels are at an all time low. Lets keep doing what we're always doing now though and hoping for different results.
BTW i thought the tone of our statement was poor. But i believe the decision by Workington to ban the steam is the reason we're a small time sport at the moment.
