We sell more. That’s the masterplan. If this is the market value of SL, the championships and championship 1, then it is the market value of those products. If we need more money then we need to sell other things aswell. More competitions, more access, different branding opportunities, more content.
There is two years before a big gap opens up at Sky from the champions league. Even if we don’t fill those specific slots whatever does is most likely to be moved from elsewhere in the schedule. There is a massive amount of programming to be filled.
Realistically we need to throw it all in, whatever Sky want, they can have. If they want a 9s comp, they can have it. If they want a new 13s comp, they can have it. If they want cameras in changing rooms, crack on. If they want players miked up go ahead.
Brian Barwick’s book of contacts needs to have a young, hungry, imaginative production company in there with some ideas that Sky want. If Sky want it, they will pay money for it. If we need to sell our souls to get it, then fsck it, we can party in hell with the rockstars.
