Didn't they circle Wakefield for Ben Jeffries?
I'm surprised their circling of Salford only resulted in picking off Adam Sidlow but they were knowingly skint at the time, so any more pickings might have looked like stealing
Circling Wrexham proved a tad more worthwhile when they came away with Jarrod Sammut and Elliot Kear.

The RFL might change the rules on administration and say 2 years. That way thats 1 club relegated, and all it would want now is another club to go the same way. That gives them then a 12 team super league without too many big drama's.

If Bradford have secured a "bridging" loan from a bank, then how come it's taking a week to sort out funds?
Also, is borrowing money from the bank on the promise of future ticketing revenues not very similar to some of the actions of early 2012?
Catalan and London next up.....10,610 and 10,132 last year, before the August wages are due to be paid......then with Huddersfield...who should be chasing the hubcap.....so could be a 15k bumper crowd. Then 5 months of no home games and a reported 1 million quid to find in wages.....and the interest on the 200k loan.
Queue bucket collections galore by the middle of February 2014!
www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/n ... nk/?ref=mr
Quote Bulls co-chairman Gerry Sutcliffe last week told the Telegraph & Argus how the club needed new investment after a year in which only 6,500 season tickets were sold and crowds have averaged well below 10,000'"
Also, out of interest, if The RFL own the lease on Odsal, what exactly are Bradford borrowing against this time?

So bradford are almost back to square one, losing money and needing new investment....again?
The club is dying. They managed to survive all that once, by the skin of the teeth, but if they have to go through that again i doubt they'll survive. An ailing club.

| I remember SL Backchat a couple of months ago and was surprised by this:-
The restructuring for next year was looking at a reduction to twelve teams. Rod Studd said to the 3 guests (Stevo, Andy Wilson and I think it was Danny Lockwood) who will be the 2 to leave SL in 2013. All 3 replied London and Bradford.
I wasn't surprised by the London comments but Bradford was a strange one at the time. Did they know something wasn't right then ?

| "temporary cash flow issues" are not usually indicative of club in good health. To be fair, your world must be quite a happy one, where you lap up any statement or press release issued by the RFL or clubs like Bradford. Far be it from me to suggest the real world is better than your happy fantasy one (it probably isn't), but hey, if you're ever interested in what's going on, drag out some old statements and press releases (say from a few years ago) from the RFL, or Bradford, or Crusaders, or all 3, whatever, and compare them with subsequent events. You might learn something.
Any update on how the RFL's strategic plan is going?

A temporary cash flow problem is not being able to draw a tenner out of a cash machine.
A pro organisation run by capable people not paying their well known employees (some of which have a knack for talking loudly on social media sites) and then seeming telling pork pies to their own newly appointed Deputy Director who then posts these points on social media doesnt scream problems at you?

It screams they don’t have cash right now to pay them. They say that is a temporary issue they will over come. What information do I have to dispute that? Just being generally cynical isn’t going to get you any closer to the truth than simply believing everything you are told.
We see rumours constantly on these boards, 4 or 5 times a season that a certain club is about to fall over. Very rarely is it true. Yet somehow we have gotten ourselves to a state when even in the face of an absolute denial, all clubs are literally on the brink of falling over all the time.
We see it with everything, Bradford tell us they aren’t about to fall over = they are definitely about to fall over, The RFL tell us they have sold 200k tickets for the WC = The RFL definitely hasn’t sold 200k tickets for the WC, 15k go watch Les Catalans in Toulouse = 15k definitely did not go watch Les Catalans in Toulouse, the media are out to get us when they publish bad news about the game, the RFL are lying to us when they publicise good news about it. We have precisely 0 data at all to contradict what Bradford are saying. If you have some, share it. Show us numbers, figures, data.
Right now all we know of fact is that Bradfords players didn’t get paid, we have been told they will get paid on the 8th and it is a temporary cash flow issue. What data right now, do we have to contradict that? I haven’t seen any other than the general depressed, paranoid cynicism of RLfans.

No, this is such an astonishing insight, almost worthy of a Nobel prize, that there can be no doubt yours must surely be the first human brain to which such a possibility has occurred. Your personal Eureka moment, perhaps. Well done.
I'm sure that what they DO realise is that there is NO marketing they could EVER do, which would not be immediately castigated by sneering, halfwit, self-appointed marketing experts.
