It is going to take 2-3 years of sustained investment on & off the field & sorting out parking & access to the site before we can expect 5 figure crowds.

They have one of the most expensive squads in their premiership to finance , the move was orchestrated by ex Wigan PR Mick Hogan , gambling on an increase on their 7500-8000 crowds at Stockport and the huge increase in hospitality revenue. they negociated a far lower service charge and better percentages on kiosk - hospitality. but the move has bombed averaging 5-6K attendances , and facing the same flak from the fans over the difficulty in parking transport & access as Salford have , the drop in form puts them in very real danger of losing their premiership status & the large sponsorship package that goes with it.

Their owner has deep resources and had reportedly been bankrolling their shortfalls through the successful years .
Newcastle RU failed last season to Block the promotion of London Welsh on a ' Primacy of Tenure technicality ' in the Premiership rules. So Sale may not be guaranteed to survive if they end bottom of the pile. with Newcastle RU 12 points clear wiating to replace them as the Token Northern presence .
