For what the fans pay for a season ticket they have hardly lost out. One of the reasons why they lose so much money.

As for admin i'm sure that the current owner or someone else is waiting in the wings to take over once the current debt is removed from the books.

A club faces extinction and people will lose their jobs, suppliers will not be paid! Do you really think anyone cares about what to do about the points already won and lost?

I was talking about fans of teams like Warrington who are due to host the Bradford Bulls on the 29th July. We have not had hugely subsidised season ticket offers. These are the fans i am talking about.

Look its sad that Bradford may go down the pan but that's what you get for mismanagement. Hull KR went through the same thing and it was 20 years before we finally got back into the top flight of rugby league. It's happened. People may lose their jobs etc and I myself was out of work for 5 months due to my company going bust. But the reality is that there are 13 other teams in the Super league and to be quite honest I'm of the opinion that I don't really care what happens as no one did when Hull KR went under. I care more about how it affects my club.

How about a phoenixed Bradford Northern Bulls RLFC? You should obviously be booted out of Super League, but should be able to join NL2, so it's not like there isn't a road back.

But if a huge amount of the money is due to the HMRC I can't see them accepting a lower figure.
So unless the new owner (If there is one) is willing to settle that debt then I can't see a deal being made.
I could be wrong here but I believe Wakey didn't own money to the tax man.
If true then that one thing makes it a different kettle of fish IMHO.

How any league works if a team goes under all their results are removed and a new league table is produced to reflect that.

I haven't even got a season ticket.......i was asking a hypothetical question which could have been about any club who will be hostingBradford at home. This could be a Salford or Wakefield who need the money as a club to have that game played. Maybe they dont and they are fine money wise but teams will have budgeted for 13 home games and may miss out on the matchday income that they would have got, like me who would have turned up at the HJ and bought a ticket, drinks etc.

It is about what wider impact this could have for the remainder of the season. I have already posted about how sorry i was to have heard the news on your own board earlier today.

But what would happen to the Extra game that Leeds played against them? Would the result stand or would Leeds play one less game then the rest of SL?

As Roy Close discovered in 1984 when he found that he'd coughed up £25k for some goalposts and a couple of hampers of kit from the original Fulham club's liquidator after Ronnie Teeman at Bramley, who'd been in similar strife earlier, had said that he'd get the players as well (atmosphere a tad frosty in the boardroom when we next played them!).

Pints deductions in a closed shop league are irrelevant, you could take 10,000 points off them and it would have zero effect. The only thing that will hit hard is relegation.

The RFL will let us know what the regulations are after they make the decision they want.

I can't see them undermining the Magic Weekend by making this season's event meaningless. Who can guarantee that another club will not go bust next year? And all the clubs that won their games will kick up an almighty fuss.

The sensible thing would have been to have announced before the MW (when the Bulls problems were well known) that the result from that game would stand as far as Leeds are concerned.

That would have worked if the fans (including admittedly many non Bradford fans) hadnt just forked out an extra £500k. Not sure how many will put their hands in their pockets a 2nd time
