If you are, I was actually making an argument as to why this demonstration is so important. My post is the very opposite of [i‘navel gazing’[/i. It is the eternal optimists which are guilty of that.

Navel Gazing:
[i“Excessive introspection, self-absorption, or concentration on a single issue; the optimistic trend masks a looming problem.”[/i

One has to foresee possible problems in order to avoid them. If you are a navel gazer, you are likely to dismiss such problems out of hand, because you cannot bring yourself to feel negative. Such stance is quite pathetic and a dangerous way of going about things.

Identifying possible pitfalls is anything but negative. It is actually the most positive thing to do. Simply sitting there and saying everything is wonderful, is actually moronic.

Dave Lister and InwakefieldIdie are indeed a pair of s though.

Well done that man! Not that long ago, the DT provided excellent coverage of courtesy of the exceptional John Whalley. It appears his leaving of the paper coincided with their coverage waning. It painfully obvious the slack hasn't been picked up.

Whilst being a little extreme, I thought this to be quite an apt quote: All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

As for Lister and his ilk, I do like it when the silly people make themselves so readily identifiable, saves a little bit of time.

I think I might send an email to the DT congratulating them on their new stance. I used to buy the DT fairly regularly and this might might make my switch back.

Good work mate, you've made a difference and brought our coverage plight directly to the attention of one of the biggest newspapers in the country. Compare that with the 100's on here who sit and angrily type about the lack of coverage and do nothing - a fine job.

nb - I would also like to echo the sentiment that Lister and IWTID's criticism is pathetic.

Begs the question whether employees of the RFL take the trouble to pressurise the media into covering the game better.
