Ganson was the same for us last week against Wire. They didn't need any help to beat us but got it anyway. Ridiculous!

Ganson was not the same for us last week, nor the week prior to that at Castleford. He seemed to take an entirely different approach to last night's game, as he did in his previous two televised matches. It was almost as if he'd decided that Huddersfield could slow a game down in the tackle and he'd ensure that wasn't going to happen last night.

I'm usually one of the first to defend referees on these boards but last night's officiating was certainly not Gansonesque

wire more than likely would have still won, but as a contest that was a dull game because ganson killed it stone dead; not entertaining in the slightest. I and seemingly many other neutrals are saying the same thing and/or simply switched the game off.

How ganson refs depends on whether he has a good nights sleep or not. That's the problem.

I've seen games where ganson doesn't blow for a peanlty unless it's stonewaller. Games where they'll be p*ssing around at the play the ball and he'll just keep shouting ''get up, geeet up, get on with it'' until they do.

Then theres games wheres someone farts at the play the ball and he'll blow. Players get frustrated - more penalties.

Oh I have no doubt that Wire would have won by a handsome margin, but not by as much and the Giants would have scored too.

The one "good" thing is Ganson didn't effect te result for once. But he totally destroyed it as a contest from minute one.

And in no way did he ref both teams evenly.

Indeed, for a high shot. He ignored the fact that every other tackle of the set Wire laid on.

Ganson made it clear early on that he wouldn't accept slowing and interference at the ptb; Huddersfield were guilty of that, so they got penalised.

For me, he had a good game - if they've finally decided to come down on the Wrestlemania tactics that certain Aussie coaches favour, that can only be a good thing; it may be a couple of seasons too late, but better late than never.

So I guess we'll never know how it would have panned out if Huddersfield had got first possession and won the first penalty.

This performance is arguably more laughable than his last effort, owing to the fact someone has obviously had a word and told him not to penalise anything. Blatant offences ignored all over the place by both sides. The play the ball is a complete mess.

yes. He has favoured the Wigan side already. He has missed quite a few 'penalties' against Wigan today. And as for Wigan - 'Road Kill' achieved.

Questionable to say the least there.
