Well before you start mouthing off saying the Aus V NZ game should have been played at The Stoop, bear in mind Quins RU are at home that weekend.

| Will Leigh definitely be in existence by the time the game rolls around? Don't suppose it matters as the ground isn't theirs anyway I s'pose.

| Bloody hell I wasn't criticising Warrington per sé, it just seems an odd choice of venue (and time) to launch the tournament. Similarly, launching with England vs Wales at Leyth would be a pretty damp squib.

| I'll say it. Bloody shocking lack of ambition from the RFL again. They are a bunch of absolute fools.
I can imagine the meeting. "Reet, we're a minor Norfen sport reet. So lets make it reet good forut fans. Games at Leigh, Warrington and Wrexham".
To be fair the Wembley idea is a good one. If it had been announced 12 months ago and marketed to death it could have worked. But as it is with no promotion apart from on Sky during RL games, we'll see 20,000 there and it'll be another embarassment.
Lewis. What does he bring to the sport? The minimum possible Sky deal and makes the international game a farce. We used to be able to fill grounds like the DW and Huddersfield.
What's the plan next time when they've successfully shown we can't fill these tiny grounds? Eng v Aus at Cantilever Park and Aus v NZ at Stalybridge?

| Agree its a shame on the Oz Kiwi match front. But ill be there, not often get 2 best sides in World on your doorstep
Presume its down to scheduling with Quins RU and fact RL want Oz/ Kiwis spending there cash at Wembley not Quins and/or Wembley

People seem to be really against the England v Wales game at Leigh... but why?
Just because the place itself is a bit of a dive it doesn't mean the ground is... does it?
It's not a million miles from Wrexham either so it will be quite handy for any Wales supporters from North Wales to go along.

| Why have a game at Warrington, then just a day later have a game at Leigh. Think the OZ/NZ game could attract a good crowd, but who then who will want to go and watch Eng/Wales. Fans can't afford to see 2 games, especially if many are going to Wembley plus the final. Surely we would have been better playing the Eng Wales game in Wales??
Not exactly expanding into Wales if it's played in just on part of the country. I like the venues for the other stadiums, but expect a very low crowd at Leigh.

| Warrington and Leigh are bizarre choices.
Aus-NZ should be held in London, if the Stoop was out of action there are several other 10-30K grounds of acceptable standard to be used.
Leigh is too small to be hosting 4Nations fixtures, I have no issue with it (and likewise Doncaster) hosting International Friendlies. But for this kind of occasion they should be using the DW or Reebok.

| I'm not sure how large the antipodean community is in Cheshire, but Warrington seems an odd choice for the Australia vs New Zealand game. This fixture when played at Loftus Road or The Stoop has, IIRC, attracted respectable crowds.
As for the England vs Wales game, it's a fairly unambitious choice. Then again, the RFL has to contend with the problem that it's core customer base is fairly apathetic towards international rugby.

| Well I'm looking forward to the Wembley double header, and I hope everyone gets behind it rather than just complaining. It should be good. What does make me laugh though is how know it all fans suggest it should have been at this stadium or that stadium. Can I take it you have a full understanding of availability, cost, profit projections etc about your suggestions? Get behind it and stop complaining.

| you cant have a game at wembley, then place a higher quality cheaper to attend game in london a week earlier, it would detract from the crowd - Aus v NZ should be played at bigger grounds than the HJ but unfortunately that is the choice made

| Start a new thread for people moaning then. I don't agree with lsv getting a game, but with the soccer season starting I expect it was hard to get venues. You can't please everyone and I can't wait to see England play at wembley and my first visit to the kc. Warrington and Leigh on my doorstep too.
