Where did you dream that up from? It never happened.

Nobody seems to appreciate the fact that Cas have persevered with this project for a long time, and in the face of a global recession. At the end of it all, the club will own something it can be proud of, and that will tick all the boxes and reap the benefits that Wheldon Road doesn't at the moment. I'm quite proud of Cas' approach as opposed to Wakey's stumbling from one failed project to another, throwing out the begging bowl to see who might simply provide them with a new place to play.

It makes good business sense to let them rent once the stadium is operational, we'd be daft not to allow that; but as you've said, we were open to the council's proposed feasibility study for groundsharing and it was Wakefield who refused it, thereby ending any chance of it happening.

Sharing a ground would be beneficial for both teams.

Both teams would have the use of better facilities.
Both teams would increase revenue.
Both teams would probably push up to around the 10k average mark.
The derbies would be sell-outs everytime.
More away fans for both teams.

In the extremely unlikely event of a Wakey stadium in Newmarket getting built before a Cas stadium at GH gets finished ( pigs might fly ) then, if Wakefield were to invite Cas, they may well be up for sharing, but it's all speculation. What is FACT is that Cas invited Wakey and they turned them down. Not hard to work out which club is on the right side of this argument.

Not hard to work out why Cas were all for a feasibility study which would, if successful, have resulted in Wakefield's Developer funding the Glasshoughton build, I WONDER WHY?

Don't get too swept up in the apparent progress toward a new stadium at GH, it's a a franchise winning strategy that's in play not a stadium building one.

Probably paranoia, but even if The Clan is correct it shows that Cas are far more astute than Wakey in the politics of sport.

This arguement has been done to death, Castleford will play in Castleford, Wakefield will play in Wakefield. Both have stadiums on the way, unfortunately in Wakefield's case it was called in for a PI which will slow it down, but when the green lights is given it'll be a short build. Personally i don't care if we don't get a franchise, because i know Wakefield's long term future will be secure when Newmarket is built. SL is not everything

Appart from Wakie have sold their stadium some time ago. The developerwants his land.

No it doesn't silly boy the facts are out there if you bother to look.

I believe they have something in place in the contract that states they can stay there till they get a new ground, but as i understand it they are being charged a very large amount of rent to do so.
