By that logic we should award extra league points for attendances, just to make sure these essential big teams don't miss out on the playoffs next time around.

It's more essential to the long term health of the game that the likes of Catalans, Harlequins and Crusaders make the playoffs to feed off the extra publicity it generates.

It's common sense that if higher attended teams play in big games the money brought in will be higher.
