| Quote ="chukabutt"Surely it has to be Dobson or Galea at this point?
Saints and Leeds players are expected to make metres with the abundance of talent making extra space for any ball carrier however KR were supposed to be the also rans of the season maybe just making the playoffs but nothing else.'"
So either these palyers are stand out and your squad is poor or your squand is good and so they have an easier job so don't deserve man of steel?
Its the old argument of "every player at saints (and leeds) is poor its the world class players around them that make them look good" It is nonsense.

| From us I think Dobson or Galea must be in the running
Graham, Peacock, Hick have been doing well.

Your a glass half empty kind of guy.
I prefer he 'completes' 9 out of 10 tackles or has a 90% success rate in tackling, which for anyone is good.

Totally different players though Comparing stats isn't fair and you fail to mention Ben Galea's superior try assists and tackle busts (against Puletua)
I'd say all 3 are good shouts for Man of Steel at this stage, but I think we could look elsewhere for Man of Stats.

Try assissts are a very bad stat, they don't count obvious ones and count stupid ones just ask TVOC? on leeds board. As for tackle busts, Ben has 2 more than Tony but has played 3 more games so its about square.
I just dont think Ben stands out above the other players in anyway, that said he is a very good, solid player

Have you seen his footwork for a SR, he's awsome with the ball in hand and alot of the time defenders don't know which side of them he's going to go!

As i've said he is good but doesn't do anything that other back rowers do. If defenders didn't know which side he was going then he would bust more tackles than hock, but he doesn't.

| Again i wouldn't say theres one real stand out but the likes of Dobson, Galea, Gidley, Graham and O'Loughlin must be right up there.

| Like other posters, from my team HullKR, either Dobson or Galea.
Don't see other teams regularly enough to say but James Graham seems in goof form.

| Don't quite understand people saying Morley should get it. He's a good player yes but before Wire vs Wigan I never saw him have a stand out game.
If any prop should get MOS it should be Graham again, the guy takes the term workhorse to a whole new level. Shame he'll be burnt out in a couple years though

| Michael "The Worrlord" Worrincy of the mighty Bradford Bulls is my shout. James Roby has already set the precedent for impact bench players to win it
For the good of our great game it would be good to see a player from outside Saints or Leeds win it for a change
Outside the Bulls I would like to see Stanley Gene win it
