as a fan of the game of RL, i make it my interest to learn about as much as the game as possible, not just a failed club who take 10 years to get a bloody grandstand finished

nrl clubs are paid by stadiums to host games

eg souths get a guaranteed $1 million per season from homebush stadium irrespective of their gates.

Wests tigers get $100,000 + per home game at the SFS

thats an interesting point, I didn't know that.
I know we moan in the UK that most of our stadiums look like ikea jobs but in australia i've always thought they really lose something by playing in like the SFS, if it's full maybe but there isn't enough identity if you get what I mean. A clubs stadium is kind of it's identity

So it is a totally different scenario to clubs in the Championship in the UK

You criticise a club like Halifax for finally getting the stand at a stadium they dont own finished , have Souths paid to get the Homebush stadium improved ?

yes it is a differenet scenario between NRL clubs (top level clubs) where RL is a major sport and there is no P&R to the situation of NL1 and 2 in england
