On the point about Union, I simply correct those misguided souls who are of the opinion that if they point and larf at it, it will somehow make League better run. It won't......but it does make those who point and laugh look very insecure and silly.

See, the thing with this whole "they thnk it'll make RL better run" is just something you've created in your head and then b*tch and whine and shout that most of the RL fan base think that. If you actually read these boards when on a thread about the running of the sport (when RU isn't brought into it) then the RFL take a hammering for being poorly run. You could count on 1 hand the number of people who think the sport is well run yet you think posters think better of it if they say RU scrums are boring and dull to watch. Bizarre.

The need for supposed rl fans to even mention union, let alone start a thread to highlight their paying a subscription to watch it, even though they don't like it would point to an inferiority complex of worrying proportions.

The two sports will always be linked, they're the closest in terms of playing as any two sports get (apart from maybe snooker/pool). When the day comes when top RL players switch to playing cricket or golf on a regular basis then maybe we'll see threads about those sports.

The 2 figures are for the regular season, the standard way of assessing attendances.
