| Amos Roberts produced the best individual preformence i've seen in a very long time on Sunday against Cas and must be leading the way at the moment.
His stats are phenomenal with him leading the way in alot of the charts.
After him his closest challengers at the moment would probably be Fitzgibbon and O'Loughlin. They're both producing outstanding displays from loose forward.

The 'team' blew that game at Bradford.
Amos Roberts had a sensational game up until his late spill of the ball. These things happen now and again.

| Based on 7 rounds of rugby, all these players have been "stand-out" and should be considerd all IMO:
Wigan - S Tomkins, Richards, Roberts
Saints - Eastmond
Giants - Cudjoe, Fa'alogo
Wakey - Obst, Tronc
Hull - Fitzgibbon, Long (if he plays enough games)
HKR - Vella
Crusaders - Witt
Bulls - Orford
Wolves - King, Westwood
Leeds - McGuire (his try against quins alone puts him here for me)
Cas - Westerman
Catalan - Walker

3 things Damo hasn't got.
Looks.
Charisma.
Gainful employment.
Barry McKenzie has all of the above...in spades.
Have I mentioned I scored 6/8 in last weeks tipping, beating both Gus Gould (3) and fibro warrior himself Roy Masters (5)???
I'm a dead set legend

I wouldn't include the first 2 tbh. Sam is playing well and developing his game very nicely but he hasn't been one of our best 3 players(one of the top 5 though) nor has Richards who again is playing well(again probably top 5 or 6) but wouldn't be in my running for man of Steel(at the moment).
Wigans best 3 players this season have been(in order)-
Amos Roberts
Sean O'Loughlin
Joel Tomkins

| Would agree with Damo (did I really say that!) that many Aussies go back from Super League and sucessfully play NRL at the highest level.
Ryan Tandy had spent time in lower leagues over here before starring in the NRL.
However, the current Leaderboard for the Albert Goldthorpe Medal, (whilst not necessarily being an indicator of who will be Man Of Steel) does show that some of what Barry Mc says is correct in that the form players have a heavy leaning towards former NRL players.
Leaderboard:
Amos Roberts (Wigan) 11 Pts
Michael Wiit (Crusaders) 9
Matt Orford (Bradford) 8
Matt King (Warrington) 8
Michael Dobson (Hull KR) 8
Craig Fitzgibbon (Hull FC) 7
Kevn Brown (Huddersfield) 7
Ben Jeffries (Wakefiled) 6
Danny Brough (Wakefield) 6
Brett Hodgson (Huddersfield) 6
Brett Kearney (Bradford) 6
Danny McGuire (Leeds) 6
Sam Obst (Wakefield) 6

Fitzy has definitely been Hull's outstanding player. I don't fully agree with that on long though. Long's been good, generally, and great vs Saints, but not MOS quality. Out of all the Hull players, fitzy deserves it the most, followed by (probably) O'meley - there's a massive difference between when he's on and off.
But yeah, fitzy is by far the best Candidate from hull.

As did a lot of Wigan fans on their board.
Him O' meley and Horne the only ones to come out with any credit.
Fitzgibbon and O Louglin Stats match up pretty well, also Trocs just looked at troncs stats, very impressive, O Meley's are just as good though IMO.

Interesting.
I forgot the password to that Twitter account months ago and removed it from my signature a while ago. It was never intended to be serious anyway.
Yet you can still not only remember I had one, but you can also remember the link
Oh dear.
So it seems not only were you a fan of mine but possibly you were the one 'follower'
Its a pity you don't remember other stuff too... like where your local job centre is.
But I guess employers arent exactly crying out for slightly overweight Leeds supporting Mike Read look alikes these days.

| I would say that Ben Harrison would be in the running for Warrington so far, great strong tackler and makes yards off every run.
If he isn't up for MoS then I'd expect him to be up for the young player of the year at least...

So your admitting that not everything you do is great and all legendry - for example your twitter account. I think what your really saying is that you gave up ever becoming a celebrity on twitter and settled back into easy targets on RLFAN’s.
You’re a flat track bully my friend and a poor one at that.
Good luck catching upto Danny, AP and Leaguefreak

Damo.
Sorry if I offended you champ.
I apologise profusely.
I never enter into a war of wits, especially when my opponent is clearly unarmed.
I won't respond to your posts again and it's probably for the best if you return the favour.
Good luck with the job hunting, I genuinely mean that.
Kind regards
Barrington.

The problem is once fact start going against your way you start to ignore the fact rather than dismantle it like a great troll can. You only got involved when a moderator said this -
[iWhen you've been burned by Damo twice in one thread it may be best to keep your gob shut[/i
Whilst I won’t bother taking this ‘debate’ into other threads as they is nothing worthwhile to gain from consistently pointing flaws out in the Barry_McKenzie persona and opinion.
But for now give me your best piece of wit reguarding myself
[size=85ps - thanks for the good luck reguaring the job hunting[/size

| Fitzgibbon is immense. Fantastic player, great professional role model, always hungry for work, 45 tackles and 18 carries a game. He's only deprived of goalkicking duties because Tickle is 23 from 24, otherwise he'd be doing that to a high standard as well. He's like a machine, and ticks all the boxes for Man of Steel IMO. After 7 games anyway.
