No arrogance here we got a good battering in the first half, congrats to the Catalans if they play like that in the final then they are going to win silverware. The Catalan pack must be the toughest in Superleague, the saints players must have been sick to death of being dominated all over the pitch.

| Just seen something about Kenny Edwards kicking a ball that wasn't in play into the crowd and hitting a small girl? Classy professional behaviour I think not.

Have you seen the incident? A lot of people seem to be very mad about it, some claiming he deliberately kicked it at people in the crowd. I just can' imagine a player doing that, unless it was during a try celebration. Probably just sour grapes, but he does seem to have that kind of thing in him.

I wonder if he's had 6,500 disgruntled fans Saints fans complain about him today, but it appears Kenny could be in a spot of bother as it's been reported by a steward. It seems he carried a ball back from a try being scored and deliberately threw/kicked it at people along the side of the pitch 60 yards away. 2 games before the final? I'm presuming he'll get away with it if it wasn't picked up on TV. Seems a silly thing to be doing.

If there was a player out there that would do that on purpose then Edwards is definitely that player, he is an absolute grub. His most recent altercation with a fan was at Wakefield where he told a young lad if he touched him again his teeth would be in the back of his throat and I know that because I was stood directly behind him. Granted the young lad did touch him on his shoulder and that is idiotic behavior in the first place but you would have thought with him been on his last chance anyway he might start to show a bit of professionalism take the sensible route, maybe bring it to an officials attention or something.

Hardly. That exact reaction has happened EVERY SINGLE TIME they have done the draw live like that. The cheer would have been louder if we'd drawn Warrington I reckon.
Saints are and have been no more arrogant than any other side. We've had a good season up to that point, so obviously people were going to be feeling good about things, why wouldn't they? Warrington fans will be no different now, they'll fancy their chances of the double. Does that make them arrogant?

Come off it, that cheer was because they got a relative bye into the final and singing we"re going to Wembley at that time was arrogance

| Just watched the game, as I was out of the country on match day; wow - who saw that coming? Catalans were brutal in defence, clinical in attack, and made Saints look positively ordinary. Hats off to Steve MacNamara - he seems to have got rid of the niggle, hotheadeness and crazy plays - and they look like a really well drilled side.
Fair play - not sure what it means for attendance at the final, but they very much deserve to be there.

That's almost as funny as the girl recorded on BBC saying that the double header was a great idea as they'd be able to see who they were going to play in the final. At the time of the draw Catalans were dire so I can kind of understand their joy at being drawn against them, however over the last few weeks they have grown in confidence and are playing fabulous rugby so to say that on Sunday was sheer arrogance and it certainly makes her look silly now!

Catalans were garbage in that period and the draw was made in front of all saints fans, what do you expect silence because they were all mystic megs and knew Catalans would be the best team in 5 weeks time.

Maybe not silence but singing 'we're going to Wembley' is setting yourself up for the big fall, and it did and they did

When myself and fellow fc fans exited langtree park, the cheers from the saints fans during the draw was louder than when the hooter went at full time and the tries they scored!

| Rugby league is a funny game.
It is true that when the draw was made Catalans were not playing well. Remember that they started the season with a half back named Luke Walsh whose ankle was seriously damaged and so he should never have been playing. Then they experimented with back row forward Gregory Bird playing at number 6 (he is too old for that) and Lucas Albert at no. 7 (he is too young for that). The team had no direction around the park. But then the coach took a gamble and signed a not too exciting but capable Joshua Drinkwater as half back. Samisoni Langi, a good attacking five eighth (but with defensive flaws) finally came back from injury. Drinkwater gradually found his feet, and together with Langi steered the team behind a huge pack inspired by a rampant Remi Casty, and with the mid season addition of an aggressive back rower from Parramatta named Kenneth Edwards. The team improved gradually but remarkably since that day of the semi-final draw.
Catalans reached their performance peak against competition leaders St Helens. Now we will see them in what should be an intense final against a strong Warrington team. Provided that both teams are at full strength on the day (with the exception of Catalans being without Gregory Bird), and provided nobody gets red carded during the game, it should be a cracking final.
