He was involved with Leeds Utd until 2001, he was Hull City Chairman after that and led them to 2 promotions, he left them and went to Derby County.

I said at the time he got involved with Hull FC that their fans better be ready for a huge let down. He's been involved with three football clubs, all of which have failed to recover their former glories leading to him moving on fairly quickly..'" +
He was Commercial director at Leeds United and he brought large deal with bulmers, nike and sky to name afew, it's hard to see how he wasn't a success at leeds
he took over a 4th tier football club who had been locked out of their ground The club was in complete mess. Not only did he save the club he secured a brand new stadium for the city, under his guidance the club had back to back promotions started generating profits again when he sold them in 2008 for £12m he had built all the foundations for the promotion winning season.
spent 7 years in his 1st spell at hull city
at derby he was tasked with finding investment for the club and he did that with the american investors
he then returned to city, again tasked with finding investors he managed to convince the Allams to invest £50m into the club.
Of course there are occasions where he has made mistakes but in my opinion your brief assessment of his track record in football is complety wrong

With Kath probably aware of the impending takeover bid from Pearson, it seems fortuitous timing that her husband offers a contract to said player'"
I think that's probably what formed the basis of his tribunal case, and the reason he's so disappointed with the outcome. But without hard evidence of collusion between the old regime and GH, it was always going to be difficult to get a result.

Although it turned out to be a poor appointment, at the time Molby had lead Kidderminster to the Football League, and was seen as a good manager at the time. The same with Phil Parkinson too.
Iain Dowie has been the only appointment he's made at the time that wasn't widely seen as a good one at the time, and that was more because no one would join a club that had no money and looked like going down.

He may well send the CEO, but why then did Hudgell make such a point of stating that "it's over two years since the SL chairmen got together" (excuse the paraphrase )
The way it was delivered was as if the RFL hadn't call any meetings of club officials during that time.

Along the way he appears to have amassed a significant personal fortune. That's the bit I don't get* - but then I'm a Leeds United fan and have a deep seated mistrust of people making substantial personal fortunes while the clubs they are running end up in serious financial trouble.
*and that's a genuine query not trolling

| Pearson asked the RFL to investigate the transfer of Luke Briscoe to Leeds. It seems as though the investigation has been limited to the application of transfer fee rules for young players. Perhaps Pearson felt that the other circumstances of the transfer were worthy of investigation:
That the wife of a SL club CEO, while working at a competitor club, arranged contract offers for a promising young player at that club which meant he could transfer to her husband's club at no cost.
Maybe no rules have been broken and it's simply "sharp practice".
I agree with other Hull fans that Pearson's rant against general RFL mismanagement might not be savvy. At least he's open and honest though.

| Big Brother wrote:No one is disputing the contract offer, what we are disputing is by whom and why
Kath pulled the strings of james rule who offered a lower contract to one of our brightest prospects, why would you offer less???
But then tipped Gary off who sorted a deal out whilst kath was selling up
Thats what has got our back up, the underhand way it has been done, just one of many lies the previous regime has told
Big Brother wrote:Yes, if you remember JR made Graham Davey the scapegoat for this when it was his doing along with Kath, she really did take the pi$$ and then agar put him 18th man as his parting shot in the playoffs
So a kid you dont value and offer him less money then becomes 18th man in the biggest game of the season,w@nker
No more needs saying, im sure Pearson knew he couldnt win this, but it has brought a lot into the public domain, the RL will also know now that they will have to be smarter in the future, this has sneaked through, but they must realise the under handess of the situation.
Leeds as a club great respect for bringing kids through, but Gary, kath and Agar know they have done the dirty on us.

| The paranoia of Hull fans doesn't really add up IMHO:
a) If Kath H was only offering a low deal to Briscoe to set up a deal then wouldn't others at Hull (eg Rule) have noticed something was amiss; and
b) Why would Kath even need to risk tipping off Garry - players have agents.

It's become pretty clear that Rule was in the "how high?" gang so wouldn't have said anything.
Who knows what was said in the comfort of the Hetherington house?
I have no evidence of any wrongdoing and like others am not sure Pearson's statement was the wisest, but the whole thing (not just the limited "were the transfer rules broken"icon_wink.gif needed looking into. There's nothing to say that has happened in the RFL announcement
And it's not paranoia if they [uwere[/u shafting the club

| I demand the RFL investigate Hull FC's signings of Ewan Dowes & Garreth Carvell, and the loan signings of Jodie Broughton & Paul McShane. They were stolen out from under our noses, it's obvious what was going on. Who knows what was said in the Hetherington house.

To be fair, you would hope the RFL’s investigation into the transfer of a young player would be limited to the application of the rules for transfers of young players. Anything else would be a nonsense.
And Adam Pearson hasn’t been open and honest, he has relied on innuendo. He hasn’t been open and honest about what the issue is, he has allowed speculation to fill the vacuum because the ‘common enemy’ of the big bad previous owners makes him look good in comparison.
If Adam Pearson has the evidence, make the accusation and stand by it, have the courage of your convictions.
Don’t hide behind inferences and innuendo, its pathetic

Didn't he join Derby after their financial problems? I don't follow football, but they are doing OK financially at the moment aren't they?
The rest of the problems at clubs after he left have been because they've gotten to a level too high and the current management haven't been able to handle it.

I think he joined Derby significantly after they went through administration but IIRC they have had numerous financial problems since then too!
