Starting to get a feel for this now...I really love it! It's just fun. I think my only criticism of it would be what others have said regarding the amount of time on the ball - it gets a bit fiddly to put on any decent moves when you have to direct runners etc. That said, I really like the lack of joystick, it feels much more intuitive. I've also spotted a few bugs around receiving penalties - a couple of times I've been awarded a penalty but either the AI has received the ball instead or play has just carried on.

Any chance of online multiplayer in the future?

Rugby 11 is a great Rugby game. Yeah, it is only international union teams, but, it has some great gameplay. £2.99 is a bit pricey but it is definitely worth it.

If only there was a League game for android phones.

Thanks Will! I have noticed some of those penalty bugs too, i think it is when a penalty is awarded, but the defending team happens to pick up the ball before the tap occurs, somehow they get the tap. Hopefully should have those sorted in the coming update.

Also, when the joystick does come along, there will definitely be an option not to use it (I prefer it without the joystick as well).

I agree, multiplayer would be great, but its a little way off yet

Think people need their bumps feeling, shocking game for me, there is no way that you can string moves together anywhere near as good as the AI, I manage 1 or 2 games before getting extremely frustrated at the uselessness of my own teams AI, as someone has already alluded too drawing lines for other runners is just not something that can be done with ease. When I read most of what people put on here about the game I thought great at last a reasonable RL game, after playing it I was most dissappointed that I had actually paid money for this, would have been better to offer a free version like most games to see if it's any good before you purchase. I appreciate that someone is taking the time out to make a RL game but it needs some serious improvement for me to update.

As for android having the bigger market share that often happens when you give away software no matter how poor and unstable it is, IE for one.

How about adding competitions to play in like the nrl, SL or challenge cup?

Regards London, I think they'll be quite a bit stronger this year with their recent signings so should get a slight rise on the ratings.

Fair comment - I understand the control scheme isn't for everyone. Hit update when the next one comes up, see if you like it with the joystick - I think its a fair bit easier. If not, try not to lose too much sleep over your 2 quid





Hmm, good point - you mean if you get mowed down on the blind side there is no one else there and you can't move people there. Will look into that in the next-next update.

Just bought/downloaded this.

Though i applaud people that try to create these applications i've got to say that this is the worst £2 i've ever spent.

Absolutely awful and alot worse than most free games/apps i have.

I'll give it another 15mins before deleting it i reckon!!

I put this on my iPod touch last night.

It reminds me of Sensible Soccer from back in the day which is certainly no bad thing.

Not too shabby at all for a couple of quid.

Give us a shout when you come up with something better.

I won't because i'd do a pretty cr@p job, that's why i wouldn't attempt it.

Point being that someone has asked for opinions and i've given mine. I'm not criticising anyone who likes it but my opinion is that it is terrible.

Credit must go to the developer though for finding a niche market and creating something he can generate an income from. If this was a football game it would be FREE and still a very poor app!!

the 1st app such as this that i bought for my iphone. and although i aplaud the developer for his/her efforts, it really isnt that good.

ill still use it on the train mind.

I think it's good fun and for a couple of quid, I've had more than my money's worth out of it already.

Enjoyed the early release, and the addition of full competitions has given it an extra dimension. Haven't tried the new 'joystick' controls yet because the touch-screen stuff wasn't a problem for me. Only thing I would say is that once you've mastered it, it can be quite easy - I'm well clear at the top of Super League with Salford at the moment, and if you're running with the full back or wingers, line breaks seem to quite easy to come by.

I'm playing on an iPad, incidentally - can imagine it being a bit cramped on an iPhone screen, though I've no first-hand experience to go on.

Did you play with the joypad controls?

Is there any chance of some difficulty settings, once you've mastered the controls it gets a little easy-I've won all competitions comfortably with the worst teams.
