| I've revised my team now, knowing that Bridge is fit and i'd forgotten about Pryce. I'd put Pryce ont' bench because he can cover any position in the backs if someone takes a knock, if they don't he's big enough to go on and do some forwards work out wide. Also can I make the point that Sam Tomkins isn't a full back. He's Wigans 3rd choice after Roberts and Phelps. I'd put him at halfback where he belongs.

Harrison to come on at prop with Burgess moving up to prop when Westwood/Tomkins comes on.

| Quote ="Dico"How the majority put Atkins in before Bridge beggars belief.
Bridge never finds touch, Atkins never finds his winger.
I said it at the start of the year and I still believe it to be true; Atkins will never make a top class centre and unless the guy learns positional sense and how to put his winger through and not the touchie, he's just a great athlete with no natural centre skills. I can understand the debate between Gleeson and Bridge, personally I'd take the latter being much younger but Atkins?? I dont know what game some watch.'"
have you actually seen atkins play for warrington this year?

| Tomkins-He has been far better since his switch to fullback and is a better option than the pedestrian Briscoe and the reasonably untested Widdop
Briscoe
Gleeson-Had a good season for Wigan and based on stats and what i have seen Gleeson seems superior to the likes of Shenton and Yeaman. Atkins may be worth a try though
Bridge-Provided he is fit should be first choice centre.
Hall
Pryce-If fit he is far too good a player to leave out and may help having a club halfback pairing
Eastmond
Graham
Sinfield
Morley
Ellis
Burgess
O'Loughlin
This pack seems to be the general consensus. They should offer plenty of go forward, offloads and skill. Sinfield must stay out of the halves but should be pretty useful at hooker allowing him plenty of influence.
Roby
Fielden
Langley/Lynch/Wood/Crabtree
Tomkins/Westwood

Ive seen almost every warrington game this year.
Atkins is not, and never has been, a natural centre. Great physical athlete, but there's certain natural elements all great centres have and Atkins has zero of them, Bridge has most of them. Decent clubman, probably had 7 or 8 good games this year but at international level.. not going to make a top class centre. He'd make a great winger internationally imo but I havent seen him play this position so you dont know.
Atkins finds the touchline more often than he finds his winger, keep an eye out for it over the coming weeks.

if you've been watching warrington this season you would have seen him playing winger, since him and king were interchanging for most of the first 8 or so games.
If you're looking for as close as a straight replacement for senior, atkins is as close as you're gonna get, and he's very good in his ownright, you seem to be describing the one ryan atkins from wakefield rather than the one thats struck up two great partnerships with matt king and chris riley as his centre.

Ive not seen him take many bombs or return kicks so although he's run in a few tries when King's put him in he's hardly been covering the wing position for games. The one at Wakefield wouldnt pass, the one at Warrington attempts it and finds touch. I agree re: your Senior comment however Seniors STILL got class that Atkins never had. Its a sad situation when old man Senior is still the best British centre at his age.
Ths kids a good athlete, but never a top class centre in this lifetime. I hope he really works hard and improves because he's bombed that many chances this year.

| This is the problem we have, Senior and Gleeson, IMO, are still the best 2 centres we have. Shenton will improve at Saints but the other pretenders are just that. I can't make my made up about Bridge, Atkins is not good enough, Yeaman has had plenty of chances but in fairness his form is starting to improve again.

| okay.
We'll see when the 4 nations team is picked.
Bridge will be there Atkins wont.
Im just extremely honest and tell it like it is.
In the meantime we'll count how many tries Atkins bombs in the coming weeks and i'll accept your apologies come saay 4 nations time?

| Lets end this once and for all...
Myler is not good enough. He's not the first Myler to have an inflated reputation eithre.
Ryan Fall (over the line) is not good enough. Or fast enough. He just happens to play outside an outstanding centre.
Same goes for Aidy Gardner.
McGuire only plays well when he's with Rob Burrow. He's shiit when he's with anyone else - but I wouldn't pick Burrow ahead of either Sam Tomkins or Eastmond, so he's out.
Pryce is too old. Same with Peacock - but he's injured anyway so it doesn't matter.
Widdop is untested. A good first half against France and the fact he plays in Australia doesnt make him an instant selection. Put him on the bench and see how he goes.
James Graham needs to keep his dummy in and remember he's a prop, not a stand off. Drive the ball in and tackle. That is all.
