why is it that it is the fans of the clubs that are the perpetual failures that are the most vociferous experts on why all these expansion clubs wont work out

its not as if they can learn from their own clubs experience as to what makes a succesful RL club so why should i listen to them?

Well, your posts may stand more credibility if you can actually be bothered to get the correct names of the League's that clubs play in. Pedantic i know, but there you are.

How many "fans" are you talking about? A handful? Or have you canvassed opinion with a clip board over here to get a wider sample?

, now they are in SL want them to succeed , it might not be a ' Rationale ' that you can understand , but all we really want is a strong sport , at all levels , and when we see clubs being pushed too fast just because of their location we will continue to argue against it

Maybe it's because having visited Bridgend on more than one occaision and spoken with the locals , both RL fans and non RL fans , seen the facilities , witnessed the crowds , got opinions from potential new fans of the owner , basically actually been there , we do have some experience

Can I just ask, how is dally not banned yet? He is trolling. None of his posts have anything other than insults in them to people that don't agree with him. Surely that is against the AUP? He was asked nicely after an excellent post by bowes to defend his argument without insulting people or saying flatcapper and the first thing he did was call him just that.

The thread has been derailed. He has shown he can't argue his point. He has shown he is just after attention. He has shown he has no knowledge on what he is talking about. He has shown his opinion is hypocritical when compared to the NRL. He is just not contributing. This forum would be a lot better off without him.

I have no problem with people with opposing opinions. It's just people that choose to derail thread after thread when they're found to have no knowledge or be complete hypocrits and are reduced to constant insults and trolling in order to get a jolly I have a problem with.

I'd say that was partly true. Toulouse had just finished 7th in the French league and I would imagine that this entered into the RFL's thoughts.

Even so I think they might have made a better fist of it than Crusaders.

You really ought to put such faith in the RFL though, they have a proven track record of making dreadful decisions regarding expansion clubs. They would be better off flipping a coin instead because then at least they might be right half the time.

Toulouse from what I hear, are good enough off the field and have the support base to make a success of it. Just right now they don't have the onfield stuff right but I think given enough time they will.

It was his response to your post that shows he was trolling and I feel a warning needs to be made because it shouldn't be acceptable.

The way to deal with trolls is not to feed them. I'm not banning anybody for poor trolling – it's not actually against the AUP
