I think Catalans have been very surprised at the bad feelings and press against the club for signing him.

Even if he passes all the fitness tests, then I think it would be a mistake for him to play on Sunday when he will clearly be under the microscope of the world's press. Surely Catalans would be better letting him make his debut over there and then they will have some idea what to expect for the remainder of the season, should he continue to play for them ??

Let him play and let's see what the reaction is of the RL public and world media.
Much as I find his views distasteful and dated (deliberate understatement), it's Catalan Dragons that are at fault here, for employing a bloke who's views are so polar opposite to the sport of RL and whilst I'm sure that there will be other players and people who share his outdated views, Catalan simply did not need to sign this particular player.

FWIW I think that Catalan will suffer plenty of adverse reaction to his signing, which could hit them financially.

Perhaps it's time that they worked on developing a few more French based players, instead of going for the quick fix "Aussie" rejects.
They have taken plenty of "grubs" in recent years and it hasn't exactly helped them.

It's strange that of all of the words on his tweet, every other one was a personal choice, drinking, adultery etc.
However, much as some religious organisations believe otherwise, I think that one's sexuality isn't a personal choice.

I think the cats chairman not turning up to the meeting today when the rest of the delegates requested his attendance shows no respect. I also don't think it's about home supporters staying away. Clubs have the opportunity to market the game in any way they choose and probably add a few to the gate in dooing so.
Christian or not his shared views are despicable and the expected back lash should come as no surprise.

Pity Folau not playing, one of the most talented Rugby players in the world. Would have been great to see him grace BV. One of the few players in SL who I would pay money to watch, by that I mean if Wakey had played on a Friday and I was kicking my heels on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to see a world class player I would look to see if Toronto were playing in Yorks / Lancs and pay money to see SBW, the same with Folau. The last times I did this was to go and see a young Sam Tomkins play for Wigan at Bradford and Greg Bird light up the Catalans side, they both won the games and were just brilliant to watch, before that players like Johnathon Davies, Mal Maninga used to get me out of the house and at a RL match. Folau is in that bracket. With a bit of marketing Falou who have put 1000 + cash paying customers on Sundays gate.

It'll take SBW and IF a good couple of months to get up to speed.
