That's like saying it took humans millions of years to generate electricity, yeah it did but if someone is living in a house without electricity now, in 2017, then they are probably struggling in some way. The point is that there was nothing stopping Doncaster from doing everything Toronto did over the past year and being equally as strong as Toronto are now. They just didn't do it. And yeah, I think it is fair to say that Toronto probably are stronger than Doncaster considering they won 82-6 and we have a bunch of people talking about how it's unfair that they even have to try and compete.

a small minority of clubs are affected positively by their being promotion to SL, the few that are immediately suffer the negative effects of relegation from it thats why none of the team promoted, the club relegated, or the club surviving the million pound game are running an academy. When they approached the RFL, the RFL were moving away from licensing. Thats why they didnt consider them. Im not sure who you think i would blame for the disastrous system we have in place other than RFL, the clubs in the lower leagues who pushed for it, and the clubs in SL who voted for it.

Local as in coming through the well financed, well structured academy and youth development system built to provide a pathway for youngsters from youth RL through to Pro RL.

You know that thing that that is absolutely necessary to bring through youngsters and that thing that after 139 years of existence Leigh havent got in place.

sorry, that's a bit desperate. In RL terms, that's no history at all as far as time is concerned. And as far as a rich heritage goes nothing much to write home about either - basically just one long struggle for survival. The vast majority of UK RL fans have no interest at all in any of these teams, no memories of rivalries, nothing. So to expect Canadians to somehow be really getting into this league just doesn't ring true.

There is a big difference between setting up and investing in a pro pathway to develop youngsters and taking your pick from a strong amateur area to play in a semi pro comp.
