Why does he want away though? To Hull? It's not as if they're obviously more likely to gain silverware than Cas, he's already in the England squad so it's not affecting his international chances. Sounds like trouble behind the scenes to me.

FC may not be challenging for silverware, but we have a better stadium, more than double the attendances of Cas and there are fewer better loose forwards to learn from than Fitzgibbon, (even if he is the pi$$head that a Rovers fan alleges on here

Maybe not obvious, but I think most people will agree that he has more chance to of winning things at Hull than Cas as things stand and for the next few years.

Hull are just about the best club off the field, just need it right on the field, the board are showing their ambition by willing to pay out a big transfer (our 2nd big offer for a player in the last few weeks).

Another solid year this year, with some small improvements, 2011 when we lose a few quota players and big earners should see Hull hopefully challenging the top teams again.

I do hope it's a false rumour that Westerman has gone to HullFC for £175k.
For that signing on fee someone at Cas is very clever and someone at Hull is plain stupid.
Wigan, Saints, Wire or Leeds wouldn't sign him for free I'm sure.

175k??? Complete rip off.

Would be a good signing for Hull. He went backwards last season but there is no doubt he is highly talented and still only a young player. He does have the reputation as being a drinker but maybe a change of scenary will help that. £175k on Westerman might seem slightly based on last season but on potential it could turn out to be a good deal.

That said nothing has been signed yet so it might not even happen.

Westerman is a quality prospect. I was looking at his stats from previous seasons and they are very impressive.

He is a player clearly identified as a future star and I reckon a move to a more professional environment could result in the same kind of transformation we saw in Paul Sculthorpe when he stepped up from Warrington to Saints.

Westerman was very young when he broke through as the next big thing and still has some physical development left in him.

Id have in in a heartbeat a saints. We lack a quality 13 and he has the potential.

If Westerman had realised his potential he'd be a Leeds player by now, but he hasn't, infact he's gone so far backwards it's simply not funny. But if signing for the Hetheringtons 2nd team come calling with 175k for him they'd be absolutely mental not to snap their hands off
