I agree, there was loads of depth. Proctor would have got nowhere near Bateman (was it?) Regardless.

Teams evenly matched but NZ have learned and slowed down the PTB, not played up middle in the forwards. England have gone away from what won them the first two - although with the loss of George Burgess they were never going to have the same forward dominance.

Agree with lack of using the big men but that probably because we have a lighter bench with only one recognised prop in there. The three of Graham, Hill, and Tom Burgess are going to have to share longer minutes because of George’s absence?

I thought they were always going to find this match more difficult with the personnel they lost from last game, not counting the ones that were already injured.

If these Test series were decided by aggregate score over the three matches it would make them more interesting.

Myler's kicking has been crap and been one of the differences between the sides.

If Connor is fit to come back on, for me he need to come on in the halves in place of Myler.

thought it was straight forward old fashioned Shepard/obstruction to me, no complaints, not sure he grounded it in field of play either.

As much as the kicking hasn’t been good, it’s the defensive shape and being dominated in the contact that’s been the difference.

Hill responsible for two of there tries with two very poor tackle attempts, Lomax simply bottles it overtime somebody runs at him one on one. Kiwis been clinical with there chances whilst we have just been a tad unlucky.

Only got to see the grounding once I think so you may be right but think the obstruction call could have gone a different way, seemed to me that Burgess ran his line and Proctor followed him.

Macgillvray stepped again and then gets 10 for silly play. Think we’d be better removing the right side players and putting in our some card board cut outs. Only players who come out of this with any credit are those on the left side.

I think the end of sets kick has been a big issue for us but like you say we haven't been as dominant in the contact, mainly down to being short on troops. Just put Sam and George in that team with Clarke, Tomkins, and Widdop and it's a different game imo. The right side especially has been targetted by NZ and done a job on us.

Even though it's been quite a tight game at times and were unlucky a few occasions not to score, this performance has been really underwhelming, even with all the players out.

Myler, Hodgson and McGillvray have been fairly rubbish individually but it’s our pack that’s been too soft putting the man down.
Burgess, Thompson, Bateman, Williams and Makinson the only ones putting in some effort.

A packed crowd, a great build up, and coming into the game with lots of momentum. So we follow that up with a powder puff performance.
