I take no delight in seeing ANY rugby league club folding whether they be old or new. Local rivals or not. Banter against losing games, trophies yes but going out of business? FFS!!!

I remember Bradford completely filling our North Stand in the late 90’s/early 00’s. What I would do to see that again!

Leigh, Widnes and London (and Fev, Bradford and the rest) all deserve a place in this competition (whether SL or below) because they've earned a place. Fax played Salford today, we got stuffed, no arguments, but we'd earned the right to play them on the pitch. FWIW, the south stand at the Shay was rockin' at the start of the game with both Salford and Fax fans trying to out-sing each other. For those that say we don't want away fans, this was an example of exactly why we do want them - some decent atmosphere and friendly rivalry on the terraces.

He's just lucky that while our club had a rich fool, his has a richer fool. Still, I think, pound for pound, Beaumont has had a lot more for his money than Hughes has, or ever will have. And Leigh will have more watching them on the local park than London will, whatever league either end up in.

Salford, despite their low home gates, always have a decent away following. Around 800 of them at Halifax today....

The rugby league family is an absolute myth. Everybody loves the idea of it but the snarls, bitterness and envy always come to the forefront.

Unless a new owner cometh Mr Fake Canuck, you're a L1 club. Enjoy the trip to Hemel and Llanelli...

Two expansion clubs, not to mention Newcastle, Crusaders and Skolars - are you implying I shouldn't enjoy that? They are the future of the game after all, aren't they? And their crowds are just a few hundred short of London, so I am really not sure of the difference TBH.

As for being a fake Canadian, I am a dual citizen and have been a member of this forum for 16 years, with that avatar for almost as long as many users could testify. A decade before RL was even restarted in Canada and very likely before you were born.

The "family" concept disappeared at roughly the same time as franchising was brought in and the SPORT became secondary to non rugby related criteria and some clubs and their fans felt very harshly treated.
Some were abandoned and others protected.

At least back in the day, you knew that if you finished bottom (or in the bottom 2) you would be relegated and if you finished top (or top 2) of the Championship you would be promoted.

Super League removed all hope for clubs in the second tier although, given the funding cliff edge that was created a couple of seasons ago, maybe that was a good thing ?

Even the terrace chants changed to reflect this. "Bye-bye, bye-bye - bye-bye, bye-bye" became " ground, no fans - ground, no fans" and "shall we sing a song for you?" became "you're stadium's effing ".

Leigh fans (not naming you in particular) were a bloody arrogant shower and happy to dish out arrogant abuse on here, when they thought they'd reached the Holy grail. More so, the attitude of your benefactor to the demise of Bradford, as caught and available on-line, underlines why your current predicament is Karma of the highest order.

The game is bigger than Leigh, or London for that matter, but the sheer stupid arrogance of some fans and Beaumont's video regarding Bradford are why I won't be donating when you start shaking buckets.

David Hughes has been an owner (minority/majority) of London since 1994/95. 249 SL games with 186 wins and 20 draws including 2 play-off appearances, a 2nd Place finish and a Challenge cup final v Derek's one season and 12 points......yeah, Derek's had the better return

You lot whined when their was licencing, whined at the salary cap being unfair when P&R was brought back but you failed to win promotion, thought you were there forever when you did go up, got a handout to help you get back in when you went down and now are whining when there's P&R but your owners decided he wants to play chicken with SL/The RFL......If he walks and Leigh fold, then I have no doubt they'll be back, but for the record, in your 2 solitary seasons in SL you averaged 5,469 and this includes teams like Wigan and Wire bringing thousands.....you really are no loss to the sport because about 3,000 of your loyal fans from 2017 have already vanished, so if you drop further, you'll be in danger of getting less that Wigan St Pats!

Regardless of numbers, from the folk I've personally met, the fans of Leigh and London rank amongst the best. Knowledgeable, passionate but still friendly, and I'd include Sheffield fans in with that as well. It's sad that I can't get past those three (I'd not include Fax in the "friendly" stakes).

Couldn’t agree more. I’d add to that it was mostly Leigh fans celebrating at every Catalans defeat and frothing at the mouth at the thought they could be relegation contenders, when they were struggling at the start of the season. But in their eyes nobody is allowed to make any comment at Leigh’s demise or about their reckless owner.
