| Wendall did a great impression of a homeless man on the high street as the Knights players kept going past him like he wasn't there! He is far better suited to 2nd row now, his lack of pace, fitness and positioning will kill the St's if they stick with him on the wing.

| Quote ="jimmybeam"Trent Barrett might be great over there but Brett Kimmorley is better and the Sharks will lose out in this deal'"
I agree Jimmy.
I go for the Sharkies and I reckon we have made a bad decision signing Trent Barrett.
Noddy on his day has to be one of the best players anywhere in the NRL.
The Dogs have made a great signing there IMO

last season barrett was immense for wigan, cronulla cant even afford to pay him to come back to you, channell 9 are paying some of his wages in sponsorship...

Signing Barrett was a bad move from the Sharkies.
Although he has put in some great performances for wigan I can see him struggling back in the NRL

Only a few weeks from the big games.

Dragons won't be soft in 2009 - Wendell Sailor A FITTER, faster and stronger Wendell Sailor has declared St George Illawarra will not be soft in 2009 and are hunting premiership success.
The former Wallaby is primed after his first pre-season with the Dragons and said new coach Wayne Bennett had not only toughened up the squad but brought in the winning attitude the club has been missing.
For the first time in the joint venture club's history the Dragons boast significant premiership-winning experience.
New recruits Jeremy Smith (Melbourne, 2007), Luke Priddis (Penrith, 2003) and Darius Boyd (Brisbane, 2006) have all won titles, as too has Sailor (Brisbane 1997, 1998, 2000) and master coach Bennett who won six premierships in his 21 years in Brisbane.

They have recruited well so they shouldn't be too far from the top.

| Based on his early season form, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sailor on the wing for State of Origin.

Pick me for Origin - Wendell Sailor. WENDELL Sailor has labelled himself the Maroons' version of Winter Olympics accidental hero Steven Bradbury, but his improbable Origin cameo is gaining steam.
Queensland coach Mal Meninga declared yesterday a sensational Origin rebirth for 34-year-old Sailor, after eight years in the wilderness, a firm possibility.
Meninga has slammed suggestions the evergreen Dragons flyer is merely a fallback option for a Maroons camp seeking a historic fourth straight crown.
Sailor has produced an age-defying purple patch over the opening month of 2009 to turn back the clock to his glory days as a Broncos favourite.
Meninga argues his unique charisma and wealth of experience could yet prove a trump card.
Sailor has likened his claims for a Cinderella-like second coming in the Origin arena to speed skater Bradbury's gold medal at the 2002 Winter Games.
The flamboyant flyer mused he would need a mini-miracle to wear Maroon again, given the backline riches at Meninga's disposal.
"Nah, I think they've got too many good players," Sailor said. "If it's like Steve Bradbury and everybody's falling down, I'm certainly available.
"But you've got Darius Boyd, Israel Folau, Justin Hodges, Karmichael Hunt, Matty Bowen - you don't need Sailor, I don't think."
Sailor played the last of his 14 Origin matches in 2001 after making his debut in 1996. He also played for Queensland in the 1997 Super League Tri-Nations, in addition to 16 Tests and five Super League Tests.

| The dell is actually one of the form players of the competition at the moment. If the Dragons and Dell can continue with their current form i would have no hesitation in saying the Dell will join Falou as the Queensland wing combo..
