the snag is that they very likely wouldn't be the best side in the Championship...unless of course they have oodles of parachute money and another boatload of Aussies are permitted (hopefully with visas this time).

If some clubs have voted this then they would have no gripe if Crusaders were given a place during the next franchise application. It seems they want us in any which way but loose. Everything points to us being the new blue eyed boy on the RFL block. I'm not saying it is fair but I think the European success of the Welsh international team has forced their hand and I truly feel since moving to Wrexham we have been run like a top flight club for a change. I think the RFL will now take a look at us in the final year when we are debt free as it seems the W Crusaders Ltd company will take us over and make a decision from there.

i think the vote you are talking about went against the crusaders but the rfl have pressed on with the rule change regardless of the vote,exactly the same has they pressured some clubs into changing their minds when a vote went against a then london broncos team with the added threat if you dont change your vote you will lose your sky money.

Regardless the Rl will change the rules of licences to fit what they want

Obviously I assumed that when they actually moved everything to Wrexham they had the brains to get rid of any outstanding financial problems from the old club that could come back to bite them on the , it would seem I was wrong , they dont have the brains , maybe they were advised by the RFL ?

Even though I still stick with my prediction , I'll give them another 18 months even with a clean slate , 30 at most

I suppose 200 grand plus a year helps you be a little ' hard faced ' , especially when you have brought in somebody else to do the dirty work , a total disgrace

Agreed, I recall starbug saying a while back saying national league had gained some credibility as a comp when crusaders where elevated to the top table. This statement gains more credibility every season.

I've read some of your posts from the summer when the Crusaders were flying. I didn't detect any help was needed from the RFL in those posts mate.

I would seriously worry if they're going to rely on the RFL. Not exactly a shining example of a stable-policy driven organisation is it?

No point trying to have a debate with this guy, SL's problems are all resolved if Wakey are replaced with Widnes or so he likes to tell everyone

Don't forget the advertising revenue that a Welsh club brings in for BskyB. If you cut them from Super League then Murdoch definately will pull the plug for sure. So really, if it wasn't for these expansion clubs, the game would die a quick death. So stop being so one-eyed and get behind these new ventures. It's the lifeblood of the game. Apparently. Or so someone with a far better insight into the game will shortly tell you on this thread.

I am no expert on such matters but as far as I am aware going into administration does not allow Crusaders to just write off their debts and start again with a clean slate. As I understand it administration allows an insolvent business to carry on trading in the hope the situation will improve in order that it can in due course pay off its debts and it is the administrator's foremost duty to safeguard the interests of the creditors not the supporters or the RL. Therefore unless someone comes in with an offer to buy the club and pay off its debts in one fell swoop the administrator's priority will be selling off players and replacing those on big salaries with more affordable ones in order to raise money to pay back the creditors (which incidentally includes all of us who are taxpayers). Under such circumstances its difficult to see Crusaders fielding a competetive team and being much of an asset to SL over the next few seasons without an extremely wealthy Sugar Daddy or consortium who are prepared to bankroll the debts.
