To be fair, the ref has to give his judgement regarding whether it was a try or not. In "real time" I thought it was a try, and it was only seeing the later footage that it looked otherwise. I've seen those given though when the ref has given a try on-field and the video ref doesn't see a gap between the ball and ground.

Quality wise, awful game but entertaining enough. Fair play to Cas, fantastic effort. For Warrington, they’ve got a decision to make. Stick with Steve Price and their Grand Final wait will go on for a while or be ruthless and sack him which is what this run of form deserves.

It might be but the reality is the cup is a 4 game competition with rounds weeks (and sometimes months) apart. We saw it with Catalans last season, a poor team who were able to focus their efforts on putting in off performances every month or two in the cup, to win it. The last 3 coaches to win the cup are Price, McNamara and Radford. The thing they all have in common is that they are average coaches who have seen their teams regress massively since those cup wins. Warringtons form has been absolutely appalling and with the squad he has, Price has failed badly this season. If they stick with him they’ll be in a similar situation next season, minus the cup win imo.
