| Can see the roosters winning the minor premiership for sure. Once we get to play off footy anything can happen and back to back NRL premiers is a tough ask!

| Brett Morris had an amazing debut for the Roosters.
Wigan did well considering that they are an English Super League club, and not the most talented one this year, but the Sydney Roosters had too much class.

| Wigan need to learn how to start a game. 3 games and 3 poor starts. From about 15 mins In it was pretty even.

| Good game and Wigan did well.Tough forward battle that Wigan got on top of in the end but damage was done first 10. Sydney roster looked star studded and must admit pre game I thought a big margin win for them but Wigan could have sneaked it . Fair result

| Roosters were just too good. Very impressive considering it was their first major hit up.
Can we play sort out the PTB's already. The Roosters players were all doing it right while the Wigan players were not even attempting.
It looks silly!!!

| I thought that was headed for a blow-out scoreline, but fair play to Wigan - once JWH helped them wake up with his incessant housery, they evened things up and it was a good game. Tip of the hat to young Greenwood - he seemed to take on the role of putting Hargreaves back in his box, and he did a decent job of it.
The Roosters got away with murder at the ruck - which didn't help Wigan - they couldn't get a quick ptb even when they'd earned it.
Class showed in the end, but it was a decent contest and the result pretty much reflected the game; well done Wigan - no shame in that result.

| Well done Wigan I wish my club at least had the chance to do what Wigan get the chance of doing regulary.
Was I right in hearing TR say they were about 3/4 up to speed in their preperation ? did I hear that ? then come to the other side of the world in a first hit out and always look comfortable, if so can you imagine one of our clubs going over there half way through a grueling season or worse still the business end, doesn't bear thinking about.

Do you just post the opposite of what’s actually true. The Roosters were playing their first game and were missing key players so were probably at 50% max. Wigan were woeful, Gildart in particular was shocking and yet again exposed against decent opposition, Williams charging around like a headless chicken as well. It took 67 minutes for Wigan to put a decent kick in on the last, their attack in general was really poor. 3 or 4 games into the NRL season and Sydney would have put 40+ on them easily.

| The Sydney Roosters, playing without Latrell Mitchell and Angus Crichton, and not yet 2019 season match experienced, were outstanding.
A full strength Roosters team would have had one of the most brilliant club back lines ever seen in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
No English club could have beaten the Sydney Roosters. It is unlikely that any Australian or New Zealand club will stop the Roosters march towards a back to back Grand Final victory in 2019.
Next year I expect to see the Sydney Roosters play and defeat the Warrington Wolves.

Hello 'Trotters Independent Traders', I guess you still haven't worked out how to plug your tv in.
Wigan had a dreadful start, and yes Gildart's defence was poor along with the Wigan kicking, but for large parts Wigan took the game to the Roosters and would have been close to levelling the contest if SOL's kick was gathered. Obviously the Roosters weren't 100%, but Wigan had only played 2 matches prior, with a new coach and players to assimilate; that said the Roosters will be fantastic when they're up to speed.
Back to you 'Trotters Independent Traders'; I would wind your neck in and try to avoid any more embarrassing player/team put downs as your ignorant and arrogant opinions came back to bite you big time last year. And you still haven't learnt- you're still spouting utter tripe. Why don't you go and do one like LeBron James- you could join him in the lake district where he was watching last year's stains semi final. Or, you could just stay in your house and work out how to plug your tv in.

You have to understand that Saints posters are schooled on Redvee where balance means everything Saints is wonderful and, just to balance it out, everything else is e. It reminds me of that scene from American Werewolf in London were the 'strangers' venture into the local pub for local people. Eventually the in breeding gets to them all and they all succumb to the Saints way. Have a pop over and read the WCC thread. Even previously good posters like 'Ralph Fridge' have sprouted the extra finger and turned up nose. It's quite a sad place really.

| To be fair, for once AS108 is bang on the money. Had the roosters been at full strength and played a few games I am certain we would have been looking at a record score.

Undoubtedly, the Roosters at full strength, with a few more games would have been an even tougher prospect. But, in the game we were all watching, aside from Wigan's disastrous 10 minute start, it was 2 tries each over the remaining 70 minutes. Opening 10 mins, perhaps a record score, but for the vast majority of the match ie. 7/8 ths of the game, no way at all. So AS108's attempt to put my opinion down has little credence, like much of the other tripe he posts on here.

If Latrell Mitchell had played left centre, with Brett Morris in Matthew Ikuvalu's wing position, then the Roosters score would have been higher.

And had Wigan taken the 3 or 4 clear cut chances they had in the 2nd half we'd be looking at a Wigan win. As I remember, in the game that actually took place, they didn't, so we're not.

| I believe that once the Roosters are at full strength (add Latrell Mitchell and Angus Crichton) and at peak fitness, they will turn out to be one of the greatest club sides ever assembled anywhere in the world.
I will be watching them play in the NRL this year.
Well done to Wigan to keep the margin to 12 points.

Not sure how good the roosters turn out to be will affect the mighty Trin, but does it mean you'll spend very little time in Chorley or Carcassonne this season unless your planning to rack up plenty of air miles.

| If we’d have had Manfredi and Burgess available, if we’d had Liam Farrell for a full game, if we were allowed to spend three times more then we currently are on salaries blah blah blah then we may have done better.
We can all play that game. It was a fair result and we move on. We had some things in our favour but the Roosters had plenty in theirs.

Don't believe everything you read from "Gutterfax"/"Call Me God."
I am not a glory hunter. I just saw what the full strength Sydney Roosters did to the Melbourne Storm on September 30, 2018. I was awe struck. Try and see the video, especially the first half. In both attack and defence the Sydney Roosters gave the William Slater, Cameron Smith, Cameron Munster, and Joshua Addo-Carr rostered Melbourne Storm a master class in rugby league.
Craig Bellamy is a great coach. But on that day Trent Robinson proved that he is an even better coach. And severely wounded Cooper Cronk showed the courage of a soldier in wartime.
Barring serious injuries to key players, the Sydney Roosters are in line to be the first club to win back to back Australian grand finals in the past quarter century. Only the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the Cronulla Sharks, and the Brisbane Broncos will be able to get even close to them.
