They are different styles of centre and bring different things to the game but both need to play for England this autumn.

You didn't really have a point, you've just said a 20 year old kid in his first full season in the centres, scoring 20 trys in 22 appearances, getting picked in the super league dreamteam and striking a brilliant partnership up with his winger is overrated garbage.

Anyone remember Kevin Penny in the dream team, he's playing in the world cup this year isn't he, I mean he really kicked on from that dream team selection.

I never said it was the defining moment in a career only that he's had a good season, no matter how his career turns out at this point hes not overrated garbage.

Yep, and at a pittance too, but considering we had the worlds laziest winger in Rhys Williams as cover anything was an improvement.

i always thought penny was good but i only saw him on the televised games. hes got gas to burn.

Penny has some great attributes but I think he had some obvious frailties and teams exposed them, now I've not seen him of late so honestly couldn't tell you if he'll break into the side or how well he worked on his weaknesses.

Former England international? Yeah I remember him. Good player with great commitment. Terrible run of injuries though.

Ok garbage is too strong, lets just go with average, if that is really the best we can do compared to 20 years ago or the Aussies right now, we're screwed, too lightweight and doesn't do enough, tries scored is no indication of how good a player is, unless he's a prop.

There is alt to critise hull about this season, but lineham and crooks aren't one of them, been outstanding this season and without them, we woud have struggled to make the play offs. Not ready for full internationals yet as he needs work on his defence and strength, but has a real chance of becoming a top class centre.

Ben crooks certainly knows his way to the try line. He certainly looks to have alot of potential but he's not ready for international rugby league yet. Overrated garbage is very strong he has great potential.

He looks to have a similiar frame and physique as watkins 4 years ago, if he can develop in a similiar fashion he could be a top player.

Cant say I rate Cudjoe. In many ways he reminds me of Atkins in that he looks great against weaker teams and lesser centres but I have yet to see him play well in a big game or against a top team.

Could ratchford pay there, excellent player who s too good not to be in the 17.

Very good call and he's another I'd not give a thought to. I'm sold tbh, I'd pick him alongside Watkins in the centres.

If we pick another centre in the squad I'd go for Goulding.

This is England/GB all over though. It's not that I don't rate Ratchford but he's not an out and out centre. We need to play players who have played in that position with great regularity.

Centre is a long standing problem area for GB and the Aussies will target weaknesses ruthlessly so, in theory players who are used to playing centre will be, er, less weak there

I knew you'd say lightweight as that's an easy criticism to make, despite the fact he makes plenty of breaks and tackles above his weight. He's 20 years old. He'll build. Not that his size has caused much of a performance issue.

Last thing I'd want is for him is to bulk up to the point where he's so slow.

The more I think about the centres conundrum, the more I think Stefan Ratchford can do a job for us there.

Last time Shenton played, he did well against the Aussies - just saying.

I just watched Easts v Newcastle in the NRL playoffs and Jennings is awesome. He scored two top drawer tries. If he is paired with Inglis, whomsoever England pick will need to be at the absolute top of their game.

Jennings has done well this year with the change in Clubs.
He will partner Inglis bar injury.

Jennings is strong as well as being one of the fastest players in the game.

I knew Jennings was good but my god not that good! Jennings and Inglis in the centres makes Australia even more formidable.

In Watkins though we have a genuine international class centre and i know people dont rate him on here but for me Atkins has everything to be a top class centre too.
