No. He wrote off the £5.4m he was owed but it still left them over £4m in debt. Latest accounts show 'debts' of ca£4.5m with net liabilities of ca£3.8m (down around £300k from his time there).

Thanks, i thought he had made a fanfare of leaving them debt free, but it seems he meant not owing him a debt. The question has to be, who are the liabilities to, and how the rhubarb did they lose that kind of money during his tenure.

In fairness to Dr Koukash,he took over from a squeaky clean chair of over 30 years,who ran up large debt.

When Dr Koukash left it was unclear how much had been paid and how much was left - as council loans were involved and other financial matters.

What "Next season" TWP are offloading all their players as we head towards the autumn, and Argyle is finished with bankrolling them. He knows he's not wanted in Superleague so that's no fun for a guy who likes a good laugh and banter at his games. He is wanted in Melbourne where he can now "buy in" to the Storm where he'll have a great time.

You need to understand with respect a lot of things aren't real. The posters laying bait all the time on here aren't genuine, and Argyle certainly isn't genuine about why he's packing it in. That he's packing it in is very understandable.

His $30 Million "investment" came with no return whatsoever. A massive loss. Not one TV dollar came from that not one decent player.

But the idea they are carrying on is just the usual smokescreen TWP are poor at creating, but the RL media here are even poorer at exposing. It started last week with Sadler suggesting an ownership model where the SL bosses put their money in but someone else spent it for them.As one major dream dies another is created out of the ashes, just like a phoenix.

Why does a contracting sport,played in a smaller area of one country,with a contracting broadcast deal and dwindling attendances,and dwindling band of ageing rich males,appeal so much to you?

The publications and journalists are doing their job properly. You can't discredit them just because they don't correlate with your fanciful and outdated views.

As for guest and member status's, the sooner that model is abolished, the better.

The solution to this If TWP are to remain is to allow TWP to start in SL next season with their fair share of the SKY money and an exemption from relegation similar to the one given to the Dragons on their introduction to SL.

This then allows them to develop a team that can compete in the competition in a way that encourages paying fans through the gate and natives to want to play RL at the highest level thus stopping the reliance on English produced players along with Australasian/ Pacific Islands ones.

After three years the club should be judged on the original criteria set for Catalans in that 75% of its first team Squad should be French or Canadian or to be fair 60% is a fairer target with the sanction for non compliance expulsion from UK RL competitions.

This would then give both parties and ruling bodies the chance to expand but with a set criteria that stops the expansion teams breaking the rules and an ultimate sanction if they do.

The native player quota should be 20% year 1, 40% year 2 and 60% year 3.

In each year any % shortfall from this is deducted from the SKY money so if in year two they still have 20% native players they would lose 20% of their central funding.

This should also be reapplied to Catalans, but without the relegation break that they have already had as they have been funded long enough to have got near to their original target of 75%.

This way all parties are fairly treated and we have objective goals for the expansion teams

Would you apply this also to English teams who sign up countless Aussies and Kiwi's?
