Like in 2000 when the elimination semis were 54-16 and 46-12 and the elimination final was 40-12 and 99 where saints beat Bradford 40-4 in a nail biting elimination semi, who doesn't remember the 44-16 bum squeaker in the 98 elimination final? Or the super intense 44-10 and 37-6 elimination final and final in 01?

Haha class. In 2001 we hammered Saints in the semi-final and then got hammered by Bradford in the final. RL is unpredictable.

I don’t understand how anybody can conclude that this dire Hull performance is a condemnation of the play-off system. Hull haven’t played this bad all season and now in a sudden death game they play terribly; why is this a fault of the play-off’s and not just the fault of a team that played so badly? I know we want competitive play-off games but surely it’s up the teams to front up and actually make that happen . This is the 6th placed team and I can’t see a top 5 play-off system being a silver bullet when the teams need to make the games competitive

The only thing this game tells us is that the Hull team should be embarrassed (I’m I like Hull, one of my favourite teams)

Hull were 1 last round victory away from finishing 5th so I don't know why people are thinking it would be all so different if we had 5 instead of 8.
