No. One says he's eligible to represent in representative sport, the other says what his nationality is. They are very different things. SL's overseas quota system is different again to both of those two matters, and dependent on where a player was trained.

What a joke - no doubt his approach to McBanana was prompted by advice from counsel, who will have stressed the value that playing for England will add to his visa application. Who knows, it might just be enough to net off the negative effect of trying to punch someones face off?

If Rangi had an offer from both NZ and Eng which would he have chosen? I know the answer he'd have given before realising he's actually just not THAT good.

As for Danny Brough, he was born in England so fair enough but with the World Cup coming up he should have been encouraged to play for Scotland so to boost their chances of competing.

If he feel England is his home then we should welcome him into the England squad. Nobody on here knows how genuine his words are so we can only accept that he's speaking from the heart. He's stated he's felt more at home here then anywhere else in the world is spouse is English and in turn if the relationship progresses his children will then be a also English .

I don't see the problem. Australia have been picking South Sea Islanders and Kiwis for years. If you can't beat um, join um!

Frankly, I think it's pathetic. Countries aren't clubs, you can't just switch around. He's played for the NZ Maori and the Exiles in the past year, too. RFL and international RL looks a joke, this just undermines any credibility our sport had.
