Honestly mate I wish you all the best. Its always good to see different teams doing well and if you do stay up and grow as a club then that's great. But you really shouldn't take other people's opinions so seriously, it's a forum, it really doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong.

In my defence my opinion wasn't solely based on those two performances. Through no fault of your own you were admitted to super league with very little time in which to build a competitive squad. You were always going to be most peoples favourites to go straight back down. If we are just purely looking at performances so far then I think Salford have been worse, but I also think they have more quality in their squad and are more likely to come good. This weekend will be interesting because even at this early stage it looks like a very important fixture.

But all the best for the season. Its a shame that Hull's trip to your place comes just before the lockdown is due to end. I've been there for an England game but I've never seen Hull play at the LSV.

To reverse the question, explain a reason why not? Why would someone not pick Leigh to finish bottom pre season as opposed to any other club in the league?

By the way, as a Wakefield fan, I am very used to been tipped to finish bottom over the last 10/15 years but once I remove my red, white and blue spectacles I can absolutely see why people pick us.

I do get the feeling that the OP was done to get a reaction but it is only trolling if it is not true.

Leigh come into the league with no time to prepare at all. You can excuse them for being completely uncompetitive given the difference in funding and squad. However like a lot of people I am unsure if they are the worst team (or even second worst) in the comp.

I couldn't have been more excited about a teams turnaround when Watson was in charge, it's always great to see underdogs do well and as it stands leigh are on paper underdogs to Salford that's all....... My last gasket blew on 4th. October 2019 from shouting "come on Salford" at the TV..

Very sad 3 weeks for Wakefield who are now 6 points from bottom.

Oh come on they clearly are. However all things considered they are not that far off. Not a bad effort from them and I don’t think their season is over just yet.

Tbh the only game(s) you can even remotely see Leigh winning are:

Salford - 19th August, but possibly Leigh will be all but relegated by then anyway
Wakefield/Hull KR - September 5th/9th if those teams aren't fighting for play-offs

Hopefully whoever comes up from the Championship is a bit more prepared - Leigh were on a hiding to nothing trying to assemble a SL squad, coaches, etc. in the height of COVID after barely playing last year.


Wakey are looking (more) decent now though, can see them picking up a few more wins in June and July.
