It doesn't work , think about it if you have a ' bye ' every team has 2 byes that requires an even number of games , MM is the odd game

Because it is the odd game , work it out

MM doesnt have to be an odd game, it could be a home game for some an away game for others and a "bye" for one team
bad idea to have the WCC at MM (and to have even more SL teams), but it is possible

Well with Tricky Dickie involved in our game anything is possible.. maybe in future we could play with a round ball and try and kick it into some sort of netting to score points.. you never know it may become a popular consept.

that's the same as saying a 15 team league wont work because there are only 14 teams in it now, if you change the structure of the league you change the fixture structure, not difficult

A different structure doesn't really make us a "ridicluous" does it? - take the most viewed domestic club sport in the world (American Football)...teams from the same division don't even play the same opposition each year as other teams in their own league- how fair is that? Are they seen as 'ridiculous'? - NO! its done so for entertainment, and as an handicap to give each team a fair crack at glory (likewise with the supposed salary cap in SuperLeague).....the viewing figures dont lie.

(O/T) Being Cas fan I've watched my club in our dated stadium (which I still feel creates one of the best atmospheres in SuperLeague) knowing that no matter (within reason) what happens on the field our Superleague future is on the line this year due to the surroundings of the field- is it fair to relegate established clubs who are not out of their depth in terms of on field performance in order to expand???- I presume you're thinking no (but does the RFL care?) so i'll continue:-

So why not have the WCC at the end of MM to generate a better spectacle of a weekend? and have it classing as a league match for the European team (as a side note)? - afterall the NRL champions wont be a pushover. Its no different to Castleford being drawn in last years Magic weekend against Catalans compared to Wakefield being drawn against Leeds (then Champions) really is it? It can then be billed as the magic weekend with the world title!

Just an idea...seeing as this is a forum- don't want any formulas Starbug saying how the points for, and points against wont calculate correctly when it comes to points difference.

Not instead of, in addition to. They could play an extra fixture at various different locations around the country, so neither at home or away. This would mean playing 30 games though, which would probably upset some. It's a bit of a pointless argument.

If we were to completely change our structures then any combination probably can be accommodated , but our Widnes friend was wrong , and all those that agreed with him , in fact others , even Smokey got it wrong a few weeks ago on a similar thread , until it was pointed out to them
