|
Sadly Sheff Utd and Burnley keeping winning - Burnley's defence is incredible.
Looks a lot like last year - can Farke provide a better run in than last season as the pressure intensifies.[/quote:3jbvzrjl]
As of last weekend it was the first time 4 sides have been on 50 points or more in the championship at that stage. it’s so very Leeds. I think one of them at least will drop off. Possibly Sunderland.
No team has not got auto promotion on Leeds points total at this stage also..

|
A really positive press conference from Farke. Struijk should be back in a couple of weeks, and he confirmed we're looking at a 10, and striker and centre back cover.[/quote:1a0p2e2u]
Did he really! That means to me he’s hopeful of signings coming in.
Great news on Pascal. Big boost

| Yes reported in Leeds Live with Farke recognising Struijk does pick up injuries and whilst we have some cover other options will if right will be considered same as the 10 or words to that effect. The only real injured player is of course Bamford who will be out longer than expected. The wimp
Farke said:“If there is a solution for a creative midfield player it definitely make sense to stay awake. In all the other areas we are covered. The only two [positions] we have to stay awake in my head is the centre-back position… and perhaps a bit in the striker position.”

Have they already signed Brereton Diaz?
Think they might be after Charles who was on loan at Leicester along with Chouhdray at Leicester plus a right back Jonjoe somebody or other.
Lets hope they get them all and it unsettles the dressing room!

| I think whoever we might sign as a striker it wouldn’t take them long to be first choice and starting up front. Any half decent centre forward will make a massive difference to our team. Barring an injury crisis, I think that one signing alone would get us over the line for automatic promotion.

| Yeah with the amount of possession we have and we create the most big chances, our striker should be top scorer in the championship. I do wonder if Farke's unusually open comments about what he would like to see come in is a message to the board to get things done..

| Boro splashing cash too now. Morgan Whittaker for £8m.. that’s a lot of money for a side not involved in auto promotion race

| Did Iheanacho play for Leicester when they were in the Championship I can`t remember.
And if so how many did he score for them?
Al Hamadi currently at Ipswich is another we are rumoured to be looking at.
Again I know very little about him other than he doesn`t seem to be starting in a struggling Ipswich team.

Did, scored a few first half of the season, tailed off a bit second half. He'd be ideal as an impact sub imo. think he got 23 in two seasons in premier league too.

Yeah when you consider he was mainly used as a sub but did play a few when Vardy fell out of favour. Will see anyway, Graham Smyth reckons he can only see one signing coming in if he was having a bet on it.. unless Bamford injury is worse than thought then they may go for a striker also but he thinks a 10 is the most likely at this stage. Ger Lynch was saying though there's a few press reports saying Iheanacho is deffo signing (but did say they are not from hugely reliable sources).

| Well didn`t see that one.
Sheffield really missed Hamer and hopefully the new signings have upset the others
Joffy looked decent too.

| Joffy is a talented lad, just needs games and to find his position. Brilliant result for us. Takes pressure off us a bit but yes big chance to get some real daylight between us and the rest

| Reports in Germany saying Leverkusen are in for Buendia on loan. Villa want an obligation to buy, so it's not agreed yet. But Leeds are also in for him, and could still get him if they manage to agree a fee depending on promotion. I doubt he drops to the championship, though.

| Geldhart for me was the best striker and finisher at the club. He just didn’t fit the brief for a centre forward nowadays that spends 99% of his time outside the box. He would have been great pre 2010 as part of a big man / little man combo such as Quinn/Phillips , Toshack/Keegan or Chapman/Rod Wallace. I hope he does well at Hull and finally starts enjoying the game. Was great to see the poison dwarf spitting his bile after the game and moaning about the 50/50’s as usual. Wilder is a poor man’s Warnock without the character.

I don’t see the real competition from anyone currently playing at Elland Road in the finishing stakes. If Geldhart had the 3 or 4 chances Piroe had on Wednesday night against Norwich at least one would have been nestling in the back of the net. Piroe was painfully slow with all those chances, we all know Joseph has not lived up to expectations and Bamford’s finishing over the last couple of years has been erratic and downright poor at times. Geldhart has better feet than all of them in the box and is more instinctive as a finisher. Like I said before though, he couldn’t do enough outside the box for Farke to ever get a sniff.

| I watched the Sheffield/Hull game and Joffy spent most of the time on the left cutting in.
I`m sure he would have done a job as a 10 if given the minutes.
Like Tad has said on here in the past Farke is stubborn and it was anyone of Piroe, Joseph and even the fast declining Bamford who would always get in ahead of Geldhart regardless of how bad they were playing.
