I have also watched him close-up and witnessed evidence of his active. It is particularly funny when he gets his ar$e handed to him on a plate when he does it.

Have you actually watched a gouging incident? I have, and that wasn't one. There was at no point any pressure put on the eye with Rob Parker's fingers. I have only heard Hull fans claim gouging. Sounds like the view of some myopic fans. Excuse the pun.

As an ex-official I've seen the odd one and seen the results of far more. Gouging is an extremely difficult offence for any official to detect. When I watch the incident on Saturday I was willing to give Parker the benefit of the doubt, until I saw that he had a second attempt. That's what made my mind up that it was possibly a little more than unintentional.
