I know plenty of casual league fans who take an interest in Saints-Wigan....not many of them have the same levels of interest where the hull derby is concerned. Just saying.

P.S. Cas vs Leeds, closely followed by Leeds vs Wakefield for me.

P.P.S. Who cares which is the "biggest", as long as they are all good, close contests in front of good crowds, portraying the very best of our sport.

I would imagine Saints alone have won twice as many major honours as the Hull sides put together, irrespective of how old I am!



Anyway, I'm only responding to the contention that a 75-0 result somehow makes the Hull derby better. Granted many of the games have been close but the same can be said for Saints/Wigan, just that the latter is due to both teams being good rather than both teams being poor.

Yet the thread was not started by either a Hull or Rovers fan.

I think it can be summed by the Hull derby not being particulary big beyond it's own boundaries.

By contrast St Helens v Wigan is.

Told you last year the biggest Easter Derby of them all is Huddersfield v Salford

Quality fishing too. It was always on Good Friday up until this year, when Bradford lets us down by getting relegated, meaning no airport match.

Yes it must be a bit of a novelty to see a crowd at a Rugby game for you.

If I had the chance to watch a game between the two Hull teams in the top four, or Saints v wigan in the top four, I'd choose the Hull Derby any day of the week. For me personally, it is the biggest game in Rugby League.

Wrong again. It was Thursday last year. We didn't even play you at Easter in our SL debut season.

I'll take back what I said earlier about the hull derby for excitement. Fc are the most boring team to watch in the league atm. absolutely dire and I'm an fc fan

Yes you did! We won, there was two Derby's at the KC that year, the 2nd one has strangely been wiped from my memory!
