| Poore is about as hard as eggs. Doesn't exactly bust defences does he?
Completely cleaned out one on one when he should have scored.

| Poore has got no chance this season. Ever since the Boxing Day incident he's been a marked man. Some of those laying on penalties last night were nothing but as soon as the ref saw 'POORE 8' on the back of the shirt he blew for a penalty. Pathetic.
It won't be long until we're playing touch and pass.

It seems your comprehension skills haven’t improved. I really couldn’t care less if Poore gets banned or not, but I think he will get one or two. Whether Wakefield’s 3rd best prop gets a 1 or 2 game ban wont really have any meaningful effect on our season.
My question was then, as it is now, if he gets a ban, it is clear that a sending off would have been the right decision, if a sending off is the right decision why wasn’t the VR empowered to make it considering he could see numerous angles within seconds?
PS: had Poore been sent off, he would be less likely to be banned, and more likely to face Leeds. Just a little help to my chippy little friend before you get something else wrong.

| Shame Bailey is going to be out injured for a few more weeks yet. It would of been childs play for Bailey. I like the Wakefield club and I am a fan of Poore but Bailey has already had Poore in his back pocket once before. Then there is Luke O'Donnell, James Graham, Maurie Fa'asavalu, Lee Radford and im sure many many more who have attempted to sort Bailey out and have been made a laughing stock. Bailey wins every time, history shows that, that is why the Broncos want him.

I'm sure Bailey didnt think it was childs play when Poore sat him on his ass with a sweet right in pre-season, pretty sure Bailey was the laughing stock that time around after trying to be the tough guy.

What, you mean the moment that Poore showed every other forward in SL that he had zero self control and could easily be provoked into getting himself sent off?
Yeah, Poore really came out of that the winner.

He also showed every other forward in SL that he aint gonna be messed with. Bailey deservedly sat on his , Poore sent off in a pre-season friendly - I'll take a meaningless red card for that any day

| What about the one against Wigan, where he got provoked into getting himself sent off missing 70 minutes of that game and another subsequent?
Will you take that as well?
He's just covered in buttons marked "self-destruct" that are so easy to press. This will be the ninth incident reviewed by the disciplinary of his already this season. Either he's the victim of some sort of vendetta, or he's a bit dim.

| Well, i suppose every team needs to hang their hat on something, Leeds 6 GF rings in 10 years, 7 GF's 2 LLS, 3 WCC, 4 CC finals, with a spine of local, developed players.
Wakefield, average Aussie forward once punched Ryan Bailey in a pre-season friendly against half a leeds team in a game they got 40 points put on them.

Did you watch that game you fool. Farrell threw the first punch and Poore retaliated. Problem was Poor knocked him out and was basically sent off for having a better punch - Farrell would have been sent of were he man enough to have stayed on his feet, it was a POOR decision.
He's thrown 2 punches since arriving, big wow.

Of course he was.
Everyone else, including the disciplinary panel that reviewed the incident from numerous angles, is wrong and you're right.

Isnt that his third for the same issue? How many do you get?
Regardless, I still ask, why dont we consult the VR on decision like this? and really what is the point of 'on report' as anything can be looked at anyway?

That'll be the disciplinary panel that said
Quote In the Panel’s opinion you reacted to an opponent and threw a punch in a violent manner. The Panel believed that this behaviour was serious misconduct, against the spirit of the game, and that your punch had the potential to cause injury.'"
Quote The tribunal have carefully watched the dvd on several occasions and listened of the submissions made by the player and his coach. The tribunal take into account the players admission of guilt. There may well have been provocation by the opponent in this instance but that is not the subject of this hearing.'"
So I think you'll find that in this case Vasty is actually right.
They admitted he had been provoked and that basically he was punished for having a good punch on him.
Farrell, although he was the instigator got off because he couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag. HTH

Thankfully you’re not on the panel, he’d have been given at least two games

Whilst I understand your sentiment I didn’t see you clamouring for the V.R to intervene when McGuire was punching in the C.C against Huddersfield.
Poores tackle was badly executed, however I don’t think there was any malice in it, just a bit of roughhousing - punching on the other hand is a blatant attempt to hurt someone.

I fear you may have been a little disappointed in what the VR would have done in that situation, Cudjoe was warned by the Ref for kneeing Mcguire in the head (hence Mcguire’s reaction) and it is likely that he rather than Mcguire would have been the one punished by the VR. However that incident shouldn’t have been put on report. There was no need, all incidents of striking will be reviewed by the RFL anyway and the Ref clearly saw the incident (spoke to Cudjoe and Mcguire) so was very well in a position to make a decision.
Im not even necessarily arguing Poore had to be sent off, my argument is just if the referee sees an incident he should deal with it there and then, if he doesn’t see it well enough there is a trained referee with access to multiple angles and slo-motion who should see it well enough, he should deal with it. If he can’t for whatever reason (borderline, poor/obstructed view) then fine, leaving for the panel, but if an incident can be dealt with on the field it should.

| Good lord, have rugby league fans gone soft or what? Reading some of these posts and the crap that Peter Gentle spouted, anyone would think Poore had taken a machete on the field and set about McDonnell's neck and back with it.
He merely picked him up and dumped him to the floor. Let's not forget, this sort of thing used to happen every week and was applauded, especially by tweedle dee and tweedle dum in the Sky commentary box. Now there is uproar when the slightest bit of aggression is shown by a player and it annoys the life out me when a hypocritical Stevo jumps on the bandwagon saying 'there's no place for this in our game', when only a few seasons ago he was cheering it on like a naughty school boy observing a playground fight.
There's no wonder the game is on its ar$e.

| It's a sad state of affairs when an innocuous tackle is picked over in fine detail in a desperate search for reasons to penalise a player; equally sad when the opposition coach appoints himself judge, jury and executioner and pronounces his verdict in the media before the panel has even had a look - bit of desperation in all that hysterical nonsense about 'disgusting' and 'spinal units.'
In the end, the tackle looked a bit ugly, but the player was placed on his back and there was no harm done - a bit messy, warned about technique, job done.

| not to turn this into a cas v wakey argument but Justin carney got banned for 3 matches(yes his record this season didn't help) for arguably a softer challenge in the London match, poores challenge much worse and he kops a caution(as he been summed before the panel regarding tackles this season????) if not then even if it his first offence then he should still of been handed atleast a 1 match ban

As if by magic, an example appears!
FYI - the two challenges were worlds apart; the Poore/Aiton tackle started off messy but fortunately for everyone involved Aiton tidied it up, leaving the Hull player on his back and no worse for wear.
