Why is who filmed it, and what was said before the filming stared, even under consideration? It was a seedy and unpleasant window into Albert Kelly's behaviour and attitude, and it should be dealt with by his employer and potentially, the governing body - and if the victim complains to the police, they may choose to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident itself.

I've always held the view that drunkenness is not an excuse for that kind of behaviour - if it's in you, it's in you - alcohol merely removed inhibitions and lets it out. But I guess some people will always allow much greater latitude for players who are talented; outrage is inversely proportional to the perceived value of the player.

The vast majority of Hull fans are good people. And even good people exercise some degree of moral flexibility to get through life. However, even letting all the equivocation and alternative narratives pass as an understandable response, one is a small number and we all have outliers among our fanbases and one particularly egregious response springs to mind! I know i’d be setting the bar higher (or is it lower?) if it was the other way around.

“Cheat” days is a very 2010s term and is an outdated thing. The day after a game, good replenishment with the right foods, as well as massage and hydrotherapy are important. Maybe these things in RL are why our clubs are visibly falling behind the physique and performance of NRL and RU teams/players who clearly have different/better physiques than our SL lot on the whole. Look at the muscular development of Denny Solomona since switching codes... I think a lot of SL players look out of shape. Not fat, not unfit, but they don’t look like a typical NRL player or RU centre/flanker/lock (most of the team bar the hookers these days). They look underfed and underdeveloped muscularly.

I’m getting a gist from rugby league that it’s a bit stuck in the past. I know a few ex-players and remember that when they played RL was seen as a sport on the ball with training and nutrition but in the last five to ten years SOOO much has been learnt in that field (especially with nutrition) that I’m not sure RL has moved with the times.

Nothing would surprise me with these players at the moment.

I’m sure a few of us on here have been around bars where players go and seen a few in a cubicle together in the toilets. What else are they doing? They aren’t holding each other’s ahem-things or wiping each other’s s!

Plus you can count on one hand the amount of them who can string a proper sentence together, they all seem to be thick as , so it really wouldn’t surprise me if it eventually comes out that this is rife throughout the game.
