Makes me laugh that Rovers fans called Hell out of the FC fans for refusing to go in the South stand for the derby but yet the South stand is used as the excuse/reason why Rovers dont get more home fans

From memory, am I right in thinking that the capacity of that south terrace is about 1200-1500? it doesn't go the full width of the pitch and is approximately 10-12 steps high. Point is, there were still places in other parts of craven park for people to attend.
Again, this is not a dig, but I can't see why rovers would spend money they don't have extending a stand when there is not yet a demand.

East stand and West stand are always sold out. The Well also usually sells out prior to game. usually only walk up places are behind the sticks (way behind in the sth stands case!) with no cover. For many this does effect there decision to rock up to a game or not on the day. East stand (remember we have a number of grants to do it so not costing us alot) will allow for more people to walk up and give away fans a better opportunity to stand under cover along the side.

With rovers attendances this season already down from last season, perhaps we are going to see the return of just the rovers hard core of 2000 going to games like we saw just 4 years ago
Of course, the upping of the ticket price by 70% for the derby match for the south terrace was nothing at all to do with the boycott

| I think they were running a promotion. I believe they are doing this against teams who aren't likely to bring the largest away support. i.e Crusaders, Quins etc

| Apart from Round 1, there has been a 3,000> crowd every round. Not really good for the competition.
Have Catalans began the extension work anyway? A bit unusual for them to have a sub 7k crowd, but I do recall hearing that capacity will be 7k when the work starts.

| No one from Bradford turned up, in the Wire side we were squashed in like Sardines and there was an offer for the Crusaders game which encouraged quite a few walk up both from Crusaders and wire fans

| Wonder why Leeds' crowds have dropped so much? Perhaps the state of the ground is finally putting people off? Think the South Stand issue is putting people off coming.

I don't think the South Stand issue is having much of an effect, I think its a case of a few issues combined. The price has steadily risen, we haven't been playing well and with all due respect to Quins and Salford they're not big draws and I think people are saving a bit of cash for the more "enticing" fixtures and potential finals.

The figures I got were from SLStats.org, and are exactly the same as the ones you've quoted in your article. SLStats just included the play-off attendance of 4,263 it seems, so we'll go with your figure.
