Can't knock Robinson's comments there! Huge compliment to us that the Dragons had to resort to trying to kick a drop goal late on.

Needless penalties!!! Well if you are a player, don't give penalties away. Don't be off side, don't tackle high etc etc and then the "needless" penalties don't happen. Easy isn't it!!

I can see why Donlan was penalised although you see players unpunished on countless occasions during a season for sliding in after the ball is grounded.

You are quite correct Leaguefan , Mr Childs wasn't the reason we lost , he did his usual of making some very strange and pedantic decisions which caused frustration both on and off the pitch , as is the norm all we want is consistency from the officials , Mr Childs is the least consistent and therefore will feel the brunt of peoples criticism , unfortunatley he will end up back in the Championships with us

You will not get consistancy from match officials.

It's a "nice to have" but cannot ever happen.

It's like saying , for example, all the clubs have the same players and consistancy as Wigan!!!! It won't happen. Gateshead, for example, just are not there.

The Cougars goal kicker is not as accurate or consistant as say Danny Brough.

On the field the players have to deal with whatever is placed in front of them, as do the match officials. Each reacts differently as they are all different.

The game is not played or officiated by preprogrammed robots. It would be dull if it was ( but thats some coaching methods used by some clubs

)

Players, get it wrong, match officials get it wrong, the coach gets it wrong etc., etc..

It's what happens.

That's sport and RL.

For some reason James Child leaves 3 or 4 blatant penalties and then gives one that is bizarre and out of nowhere. I think that's what frustrates the fans. Look at how good a job Richard Silverwood did in the ANZAC game. Fair play to him.

May I suggest that perhaps he is CONSISTANTLY inconsistant and therefore is consistant





What I don't understand (well I do but you have to be polite) is why if everyone knows a match official acts a certain way then why don't the players/coaches take steps to minimise any actions that could disadvantage the team.

Again the same with players on the opposition. You try to minimise the way they play ( legally - see under R Bailey) so they cannot cause disadvantage to your team

Oh I watch all my pro RL on the box, and amateur live.

The game I was brought up with is changing (it always has) and sometimes i's been for the good and sometimes the bad ( never consistant

Whilst I understand the changes over the last decades, not all have been thought through thoroughly and some have caused, IMO, immense damage to the game overall and it will take a long time for the game to recover.

One thing I do know, is that RL is a resiliant game and will continue.

It's too good not to, but you do have to wonder about the way the game is going and how it is being run (and by whom).

Crusaders are terrible defensively, Sammut and Thomas in particular.

Gareth Thomas is having a nightmare. Can't tackle, can't catch!

Bryant should have got at least 10 minutes for the elbow on Lee Smith.

Thomas can tackle, his positioning is quite bad though

Think Cru were robbed for the ball strip over the line...interference at the PTB should have been a sinbining and I really don't think Pits was onside when he stripped the ball.

The biggest difference is speed though. Leeds have some, Cru don't.

To be fair to Thomas, he has spent that last decade playing rugby where the only backline play executed is to pass the ball to the person next to you till you run out if space
