Sometimes people drop their guard without realising and use terms such as scrap heap in reference to the pro comp just below SL level.

I'd suggest you do , strangely that is very close to how I veiw them as well

You mean a situation where the governing body are paying a clubs players , and that could adversly effect other clubs finances ?

Well,yes.One fans scrap heap is another fans vibrant competition.Depends on who you are and how 'big' the club you support is I suppose.It's not for the Bradfords of this world but fine for plebs such as Fax and Fev.

The RFL are paying the Bulls players , who could then make the play offs , denying another club from that income

Any team except one outside the UK... and while we are at it... Get rid of Catalans and bring another English team in.... So... Fev and Fax for me should be in SL.

Many Bradford fans were part of this exclusive club until recently, now they’re watching a team making up the numbers in SL, even contemplating death-by-relegation. I’m sure many have sobered up to reality now.

Unlike those (We know the clubs

) who have only ever seen success, due to their age or diminished responsibility.

So , who should get the ' Golden ticket ' ?

Fax or Toulouse ?

Neither. Have a 13 club SL until the next round of franchises. Then either promote a club by issuing a license or demote another club to take SL to 12 teams.

Out of those two, definitely Halifax should.

However, in reality Bradford will find their old one in the waste bin, wipe it down & carry on.

Unfortunately (or fortunately is you are a Fax fan), Halifax are the only club with a valid application at present and there probably isn't time for other clubs to go through the process, you know, shiny new ground, decent attendances, strong finance etc.
Let the championship clubs play for promotion

I do not see the leagues below as an abomination. I see the leagues below as what they are - the leagues below. They are just as valuable to rugby league as any other club and I'm sure with time, we will see the performances in the lower leagues increase in quality and the gap between the leagues close. We have had considerable recent success but I do know what it's like not to be a top club.

let Fax in up to the next franchise bids and take it from there

Five unsustainable SL clubs is enough as it is. Too delicate a situation to add to that number right now.

Neither have a chance as the RFL have given Bradford all the Wonka bars.

It brings to mind the ' Scrap Heap Challenge ' TV show , teams of Championship clubs Chairmen trying to build a SDL application out of old worn out players and ancient attendances from years ago , being presented to the ' independant ' Licence committee , where it all falls apart at the seams with a ' speculative ' rubber stamp imprint on it
