While you could well be proven right, it's worth noting that Salford has beaten Warrington three times this season already, twice at their own place, and Cas has beaten them once also. So certainly not full gone conclusions on paper. So called 'big game experience' may be a factor, but then again it might not be.

I wouldn't be too quick to say Wigan are nailed on finalists just yet. Yes we are in form, yes we get home advantage on Friday and yes we have beaten Salford convincingly three times already this season. Friday will be a tough match for us if they bring their A game with them. I can see it being close with only a try in it perhaps.

Fair play to them, it's been a marvellous season so far from them.

Even if we do beat Salford we then have to win away to Saints (unlikely) to get to Old Trafford or then wait another week to play the eventual winners from Cas/Wire/Salford.

I do sense a loss coming from us at some point in the playoffs, I certainly can't see us winning the next three matches in a row.

Agree it looks likely a Saints v Wigan final but Warrington have the players and experience to upset the odds. Salfords backs are good but pack looks outgunned now it's playoff Lussick and Jones aside.Wouldnt mind being proved wrong by them mind. I'd take Wigan to beat Salford - just - but reckon they'd be good enough to KO wire or cas in their 2nd bite game.

I’m just hoping that we are competitive. It’s been infuriating watching us all season, our pack is more than good enough but we could play for hours and not find a way to score at times. If everything clicks we may scrape something at Warrington, but there’s more chance of me getting a Great Britain call up than us getting to Old Trafford. Salford will be swatted aside by wigan, like a fly. We've seen this so many times before, these pretend teams can never, ever hack it when it's serious business and there's grand finals to be contested and titles to be won. Remember when huddersfield used to think they were a big player? Swatted aside every time.

Although Wigan and Saints have all the pedigree, especially in SL finals, as you have seen over the past few seasons, the favourite doesn't always win the big prize.
Having said that, both Warrington and Cas would need a huge lift in form and Salford, although playing some great stuff at the moment, lack experience in play off rugby but, in a season full of surprises, expect the unexpected.

Of course they have. I don't know where all this has come from. If Saints perform anywhere near their best at Old Trafford they should beat us by a couple of scores (assuming both teams get there).

Anyway his point is very valid. Salford have done very well so far but will have to step up a huge amount in intensity to even compete with a zoned in play off series Wigan at DW.
