| We are probably still going to lose but it’s funny knowing certain Wakey fans will be frustrated seeing Hurrell score a hat trick which will only serve to Sky bigging him up more and him probably being in the Dream Team this year.

| ‘Eff off Jack Walker. Gotcha on the Leeds board will defend him to the heavens like he does all his favourites like Hardaker (other ppl conspired to get him out of the club....because obviously they attacked a student) and Ward (Watkins got the captaincy ahead of him because of his mental health even Ward had more well documented issues).
3 kick offs out on the full is pathetic.

I'll hold my hand up to that he's had his best game with no mistakes in this game, he must of been told to control himself at the play the ball, how ever it didn't stop himself shoot out of the line after 2 1/2 mins missing the tackle and was lucky to not have it run through the line.
One thing I have never said his attack is poor only his defense, what will happen if he gets a injury

I knew as soon as we were being well beaten Walker would pull up with injury, common theme. One of the worst for not having the fight in him, fine last week when we were leading, up against it he’ll take ‘a knock’

| Have to feel sorry for the likes of Hurrell playing in this Leeds team, there’s so many players who are nowhere near good enough. Watkins has always been a bit overrated but he looks finished, Lolohea is terrible and Leeds should look to get rid, JJB has been finished for years and is stealing a living and then you’ve got all the bang average players like Donaldson, Sutcliffe and Briscoe. A massive overhaul needed but the main priority should be a competent halfback who can control a game.

That’s the issue. Is he just unlucky with injuries or is he just “soft”? I can imagine Jamie Peacock or even Kevin Sinfield breaking their necks and being paralysed but still packing down for the scrum because Leeds needed them

The lineup isn’t spectacular and not GF winning worthy but certainly no worst other teams in the lower half of the table. Tonight’s game wasn’t down to the difference in quality as there isn’t much on paper, it was down to effort and intensity. You can have a poorer lineup but if you run and tackle harder and faster you stand a chance.
This Leeds team don’t want to fight for the coach and Director of Rugby and that’s down to those two men especially Sinfield whose made a big effort to publicly say how much he’ll rebuild the squad over the next few years.
Sinfield’s problem is he had no interest in taking over the team Leeds currently had, he’s always been looking ahead to the team he could have in 3/4 years time with the next big crop of youngsters coming through. Problem is he was always going to need the current squad for the first 18 months and he immediately came out on his appointment and said they weren’t good enough, need replacing and their culture and effort was wrong, even though they pulled off a GF win just several months prior. You wonder why they don’t perform for him.

No not unlucky, just doesn’t have the heart, pretty much a flat track bully. He has the talent above Ash Golding, but Golding would give you 10x the effort.

| For me, that was a weird game.
I put it on at half time, saw the score & thought, this could get messy. But all I saw for the first twenty was Leeds scoring tries & giving themselves half a chance, I then did some more important stuff, to come back to a heavy H.K.R. win - what went wrong?
I've been critical of Leeds this year, because they seem to give up when they go behind, but that spell in the second half, they looked decent.

| Rovers looked good in attack and won't be playing against a centre like Hurrell every week.Plenty of speed and a decent pack. Linnett and Drinkwater slowly getting better and with still plenty missing through injury was a good win tonight. We still have a wobble in us and when Leeds got a foot in game 2nd half whilst Hauraki and Garbutt off I started to worry. But we won cosily enough and really should have been more.. pretty happy overall

| March 2017, one week after being beaten 66-10 by Cas McDermott came out and said his team could still win the Grand Final and single handily took the flak for that hammering and following boast........7 months later he won the Grand Final.
July 2018, Sinfield just after his appointment publicly says the squad isn’t good enough, needs rebuilding and the culture isn’t good enough of a squad that were reigning champions and has put it all on the previous regime since his appointment putting it all on everybody but himself. 9 months later he’s publicly boasting of the culture being better under him yet they’re bottom of the table with embarrassing effortless defence with the prop he sold embarrassing his decision on a weekly basis.

No to be fair we have actually performed better in most of the second halves when weve been well beaten in the first half so not sure what you mean by your last paragraph?
In every game we’ve lost we’ve either given ourselves too much to do with poor first halves or we’ve thrown away a winning lead in the last 20

And? Sinfield had publicy said that it won’t be a quick fix and will take a few years at least to rebuild.
You clearly have some issue with Sinfield for some reason, do you think the rebuilding that he cane in to do should be complete by now?
We have been a mid/low table SL side since the begining of 2018, we will be the same until 2021 at least.

I agree it wasn’t going to be s quick fix....so don’t spunk away most of your money on two marquee players that leaves you unbalanced in the rest of your squa. The squad he inherited were still champions, made a decent fist of the WCC in Melbourne and were top 4 after around 8/9 rounds last year. Sign a replacement for Galloway, keep Garbutt, replace Hall with the money he was on. Don’t blow it on a position we didn’t desperately need in centre (as good as Hurrell has been it’s pointless if other positions are weakened by not being able to spend more on those positions) and we should easily be around the fight for 5th, at worst around 8th.
Marquee signings leaving the squad unbalanced and forcing several players out is completely against a “it’s not a quick fix”....it’s trying to force things and it’s failed. For all the talk of it’ll take time he tried changing too much too soon, the wheel didn’t need reinventing (McDermott took most to a GF win), short term it needed tweaking but Sinfield went OTT:

Don't get me wrong I'm not an "avid reader" of all things Leeds, but the Hull game & the Wakey game they took an early lead, looked good, then went behind & gave it up.

| I wonder if we'll soon see a "for the 'live' of god allah or whoever FURNER GO!!" thread over on the Leeds board soon?
The Brian Mc one ran for over 7 years. Even when Leeds were winning silverware there was weekly calls for McDermott to be removed.

Depends how you look at it, those 2 games you may have a point (although I think we may have ‘won’ both the second halves in those games)
Basically Leeds have forgotten how to win whether they are in front or behind.

Like I said earlier, don’t worry this will still be McDermott’s fault. No chance Sir Kevin of Sinfield will get the finger pointed at him even though he appointed Furner based on his admiration of him being his teammate back in 03-04 and then released the best metre making prop in the league and replaced him with Wellington Albert, James Donaldson and Dom Crosby, the latter of which hasn’t managed a game all year. Still his mate Ablett got a new 2 year deal and again hasn’t played this year also.
