Cataland have defeated Huddersfield York and Whitehaven in the cup and Salford, Leeds, and Hull FC in the league......none of these sides will be bothering engravers at the seasons end.
Catalans have 3 home ties left in SL...Widnes, Castleford and Salford and I see them getting 4 from the 6 on offer. Huddersfied, Wakefield, Leeds as well as Wire and Wigan away I see then getting 2/10 , so 17 points at the seasons end...2 more than last year, but not enough to avoid the Qualifiers......like last year, a couple of decent results, but the important games are the ones against your fellow strugglers......

Perhaps looking closer at their own garbage, half-d side, who offered nothing all night, might just be a better start.

2150. Even (us) lowly Leigh Centurions had over 2500 v London Bronco's in the 5th round, London brought around a 100 fans, which is more than most clubs have brought to the LSV this season by the way.
I understand that there won't be any Catalans fans there, but what is wrong the Huddersfield lot. 1 game away from the semi's, against a game that is more than winnable (granted, they have improved recently) But seriously, that attendance is pathetic.

It was always going to be a poor attendance no away fans Thursday night on sky but that is bad you'd have thought the club might of done something to attract fans tonight

Of course, even us and Swinton Lions have offered 'free entry' to 1 game, in the past 2 years !

Catalans deserved the win but I can see why the Hudds fan felt hard done by .I rate Hewer but tonight he gave every important call in French favour. Catalans have gone back to basics and in Gigot Mcillorum Bird they have poophouses aplenty. If they get the winner of Leigh/Leeds then the final could be in Mcbananas reach?

This was a decisive win to the French club over an English heartlands club with few supporters. The Catalans did not play as well as they have in recent weeks, but they got the job done. A bit more work at training on the precision of the attack and I am sure that they can score a lot more tries. They have in Gigot, Broughton, Mead, Casty, Mcilorum, Edwards, and Bousquet a fine number of attacking players. All they need to find is a proper number 6 until Samuel Tomkins arrives in Perpignan in 2019

Meanwhile I look forward to Catalans hosting Widnes next weekend and then the return contest with Huddersfield in Super League on June 15th.

I support Leeds Rhinos first and foremost, I also believe the whole of Rugby League will benefit, if Super League expands further than the M62 corridor.

The Champions League in Football and European Cup in Rugby Union are very successful, sadly we’re not strong enough to have a separate European/International competition as well as Super League, so we need to give Super League more of an International flavour. That is one of the reasons I support Toronto Wolfpack, Toulouse Olympique and Catalan Dragons.

Just because you don’t agree with me, doesn’t make me a wind up merchant. I find it very bizarre that yourself and some other fans (mainly Leigh fans) are desperate for Toronto Wolfpack, Toulouse Olympique and Catalan Dragons to fail, celebrate whenever one of them lose and look to talk them down at any opportunity.
