It was an okay decision with me. I know he's a high-profile player but I think he tends to get overlooked due to the (warranted) focus on Peacock, Sinfield and co. I thought he was a real calming influence on Leeds tonight and came up with some big plays too.

i thought that was strange, as stevo kept telling us leeds were ready for dropping, but that just gave them time to regroup and recharge, poor decision i thought.

I said at the game that it was the wrong choice to go for 2. A four point lead is not enough of an advantage compared to two, especially against a team whose tries are almost always worth 6. With so much left in the game and with so much momentum going our way you knew at some point the tide would change and Leeds would score so we needed to try for a 6-8 point lead.

Was a terrible call, thought so immediately. Wigan were on top at that point and being 4 ahead rather than 2 wasn't worth it.

Yep, proved to be a game changer.
Why take 2 points to achieve a 4 point lead.
Kick to the corner and try to put the opposition to bed, very strange decision.
That and Leeds try from a knock on

I said exactly that at the time. I think going for two lets the other team off the hook. When you've got a team on the ropes you have to go for a try. Fair enough if you're two behind or twelve up, square the game up or make it a three try game. But to make it go from two to four points was actually pointless as it meant nothing. Leeds had to score a try at 2 points behind and had to score a try at 4 points behind.
Brisbane made the same mistake that bit them on the last week.
Also Wigan, notably Joel Tomkins, threw far too many silly one handed or chancy offloads and passes that didn't come off. They weren't smart enough for long enough or often enough. Plus Matty Smith looked out of his depth again, like he did in last year's final and for England in last year's Four Nations. He's not a top player and at the highest level, it shows in such a crucial position.
Then their game management in the final minutes was appalling for a GF. How can you have an overlap on the left wing and instead come inside to Clubb who was forced to kick it and it went over his head? Anyone connected to the NRL watching that would think "and that's their Grand Final?!? Okay...hahahahaha" and would switch off there ing themselves into the night.

| I said the 2 was the wrong decision for Wigan at the time. Leeds were desperate for the breather and used it to their advantage. The turning point was much earlier in the game for me though. When Matty Smith dropped the kick off following their first try it pretty much did for him for the rest of the game, in fact the only other thing I remember him doing was knocking on again from a Bowen pass he wasn't expecting.

I think that's a bit harsh to be honest. The play was in the last two minutes of a GF when very tired and desperate to throw the ball anywhere to try and get a score. What it does highlight is the Wigan halves are made up of one decent club player and a very promising inexperienced youngsters. Sinfield and Mcguire wouldn't have allowed it to happen.

I found the basic stats quite interesting. Wigan made more meters, Leeds more tackles and offloads were the same.
I'll stick with what I said at half time in that Leeds had that bit of luck you need with a few calls and the odd bounce of the ball going in their favour.

| Leeds once again showed how to stay in a game that most other teams would have given up in the last quarter.
All down to the character of their players.
You make your own luck by putting the hard work in and staying in the game and Leeds had a bit of luck that took them over the line

Yes, we've now robbed Huddersfield, St Helens and finally Wigan to claim all three trophies over the last few weeks. Funny thing is, we've scored more tries than any of our opponents in those games. Must look at a dictionary for robbery definition. We also robbed Huddersfield, Hull, St Helens and Hull KR in lifting the Challenge Cup. Thieving blighters we are, scoring more tries than everyone else and playing such an attractive brand of Rugby, I'm fed up of it !

Just another case of an Internet RL fan wanting to deride everything about the game, ah well.
Far better atmosphere than Wembley, always thought that though about the Grand Final.

Well you need to go to Specsavers mate. When Leeds were camped on Wigans line in the first half, I noticed quite a few in the far corner.

| Was good to be there as a neutral. Fantastic atmosphere! Thought that Leeds were a lot better in the first half but they fell off big time. Wigan weren't very good and the fact they got it to 4 points ahead is a bit crazy, got a bit tense in the crowd when they did. Thought Leeds got two lucky calls with their tries but also feel that they had to be down there to be getting those calls. Wigan did not. In the end Leeds deserved it and I'm happy for Sinfield and Peacock. Very good of Leeds fans to clap Wigan players when they went to get their losers medals. Shame that same set of fans started ' er' signs and booing when they came to go down the tunnel after the game.

The p*ssed guy in front of me went to the bar/toilets 2 or 3 times in each half.
My wife had to take our kids to the toilet at one point too. So did the lady with children on the other side of me.
There are seats in some sections that come with executive packages, its up to the ticket holder whether they sit there or in the bar/exec suite.
Everyone at the game knows it was ram packed but clearly you know better...RL fans are so negative
