Tricky to predict. In the past the playoffs have been a thorn in our backsides. Too much pressure. I'm hoping playing the top 8 week in and week out will have helped us with our mental toughness.

Fighting to keep the 3rd spot off saints and winning to actually get the top 4 will have done our confidence some good too.

The team who wins it will deserve it. I hope if we do bow out in the semi or the final it isn't without fighting. Don't want to keep that "can't play the big games" tag.

I hope they can. It would be good to see a new name on the cup.

As much as I'd like it I can't see it. Experience counts for a lot in the finals and they don't have much. A lot will depend upon Brough keeping his cool, I've noticed in quite a few games he tries to do too much and gets frustrated when things don't come off.

Any of the top four can win it? Momentum and lack of injuries will decide

Previously the Giants have been superb all season until the playoffs

This year we've been just ok all season, yet to play a full 80 to our best

Now the super8s have seen us improving and improving and starting to look like contenders

And yes, until we actually do it - everyone will doubt so I'm not gonna get precious about not being fancied for it, and even if we put 50 on Leeds on Friday it wouldn't mean a thing

The LLS is a big deal imo, winning it is a massive achievement - but the club has said our only aim is old Trafford this season, 2nd spot will be nice top would be even better

But old Trafford is the goal - and it was obvious the club didn't care about the challenge cup either this season

You did care about the cup, you just got taught a lesson by Leeds come crunch time as usual. Worrying signs for the playoffs....even if Leeds aren't in shape to do it then Wigan or Saints will.

i said on the wire board prior to friday, i'm worried that wigan will end up boring their way to the grand final win, due to leeds hitting the skids, saints being up and down and then huddersfield being huddersfield.


At this point i wouldn't be surprised to see a giants wigan final, with wigan boring them into submission.

And that's why. Instead of having a home game you're now away at Wigan who are unbeaten at home all season. For me Huddersfield's crunch game was tonight.

Records mean nowt in big games though and they gave us a good game at the start of the Super 8's. Won't be easy for Wigan at all, I actually think Leeds have the easier semi.

yes they can. if, and it's possibly a big if, they play like that at wigan they will win the game. then it's a one off game

Based on tonights performance. Yes they can.

All the top 4 are of very similar level. It depends on who plays better on the day and who gets the bounce of ball.

It's the most exciting end to a season for years.

Wigan stepped it up in the 2nd half last night. Not many team could have lived with that.

To be fair, I thought it was a case of, we were pretty ordinary in the first half.

Huddersfield are a good solid team no doubt.I just can't see them being able to go to Wigan and win now, which if they did would be classed as a shock, and then going to OT for the first time and beating Leeds or Saints who are GF regulars in recent years.What was already going to be a huge task even had they got a home semi final, has now become mission impossible imo.They blew any remote chance they had in the last 2 minutes of the game last night.

Of course they can. Will take a huge effort but they're well capable of pulling it off. Only a fool would dismiss any of the 4 teams left in it.

Just interesting that the Giants seem to have their "elephant" under control. If it stays that way then they are capable of taking the prize. I just have a doubt that it may not be this year, but of the opposition, none have been really tearing the house down this season.
Could be their best opportunity for a while.

At the moment, you'd have to say this is looking like a traditional Huddersfield finals choke. That's a real shame. Hope they sort their heads out before Wigan go too far ahead.
