| union would not let league players play union in the Olympics because they would not like to look upstaged by fitter and faster league players.

| There is a chance Fiji will pick Uate, Koroibete, Kev Naiqama or the new guy for Penrith (scored 27 tries in NSW cup last year in his first year of League - played 7s till 2013).
Rugby 7s is actually the national game of Fiji and they will probably start gold medal favourites.
Foulau will play for Aus, and SBW will play for NZ.

| Quote ="Mr. Zucchini Head"Dixon is quick off the mark which gets him away from defenders, but he struggles to sustain it over a distance. Jamie Shaul at Hull is the same, lightning over 20 metres but doesn't have a big top speed, as we saw at Wembley.
Over 100 metres Dixon would get left for dead by proper sprinters like Caro, Penny or Lineham.'"
Caro is only fast while sprinting, give him a ball to hold at the same time, and his speed gets cut down drastically at times.

| Lineham isn't THAT fast, Dixon is certainly quicker IMO. And tbh his fitness/stamina is a doubt too. In 7s he'd be f'cked.
It isn't all about who is the quickest/strongest, need some skill and great passers/kickers.
Those picking Burgess, Graham etc clearly don't understand 7s..they aint the guys for this sport. Louie Scarsbrook I'll give you, probably even Crabtree as he has great pace for a big un.
My back of a fag packet SL 7s team:
Kallum Watkins
T. Briscoe
LMS
Brough
Crabtree
Charnley
Roby
Interchange:
Ablett, O'Loughlin, Chase, Hill, Farell, Hall, Lunt

There is more chance Uzbekistan will make the final and call me up as a late replacement t to win them gold!
Fiji is the next union v league battleground, Fiji RU are not going to be giving any publicity or leg ups to RL.

| Can't we enter a league team as an independant? That would be brilliant.

| Png should enter a team of RL players. I would assume though that there would be some qualifying requirement including registration with the sports governing body.
